The cable network, which has been developing the project for more than a year-and-a-half, is finalizing a deal for a pilot order. Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow) has come on board as executive producer/showrunner, while Peaky Blinders helmer Colm McCarthy has been set to direct the pilot for Warner Horizon TV. Goyer and Kindler are doing rewrites on the original pilot teleplay by Goyer & Ian Goldberg which was based on a story Goyer and Goldberg had penned together. Based on DC Comics characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet. It follows Superman’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The project is being done via a special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family. Goyer, who is executive producing Krypton through his Phantom Four banner, is Warner Bros.’ go-to writer for their Batman and Superman feature franchises, most recently co- penning Batman v Superman. He also executive produces Sundance smash The Birth of a Nation. Warner Bros. TV previously launched a successful Superman prequel with the long- running WB/CW series Smallville. Kindler is coming off a three-season tenure on Fox’s Sleepy Hollow where he most recently served as executive producer. This marks his return to Syfy where he created Sanctuary and worked on Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate SG-1. He is repped by WME, New Wave, and Adam Kaller on Tom Hoberman. The realism we can get on Krypton is worth every dollar. Will we get to see Kelex? zzzzzzzzzzz LOL! Always can count on a Batman Fanboy to rear their ugly heads. Wonderful. Maybe we’ll figure out why it is that Superman just isn’t too interested in saving people’s lives (other than Lois Lane and Martha Kent, that is). MARTHA! Why did you say that name!!!! If it includes the Russell Crowe action hero version of Jor-El that we’ve come to know and love from Man of Steel, then let’s go for it. This feels like CAPRICA but worse. It will be interesting to see how SyFy screws this up Please don’t be like Gotham…. Hopefully we get to see some Super Powered action. Seeing it’s on Krypton, they might be de-powered. I will also watch I love Superman Supergirl smallville all everything with Superman Lois and Clark I don’t get what’s so spectacular about Krypton. There’s no danger if it’s set two generations before its destruction. Nobody has any super powers there. Everybody is normal. At least with Gotham there are all the villains even thought there is no Batman. Ferebee Abstract Lennard Davis, in his work on visualizing the disabled body, argues that at root the body is inherently and always already fragmented. The unified “whole body” is, therefore, hallucinatory in nature—an imaginary figure through which the body’s multiplicity is repressed. There is much in this view that is consonant with posthumanism, which so often seeks to destabilize the “whole” and singular one in favor of the multiple, the fragmentary, and the hybrid. Yet despite these considerations of the body as fragmentary, little attention has been paid to the value of considering the body not only as fragmentary, but also as potential fragment. What might we learn by rejecting anthropocentric assumptions about the body-mind’s inherent completeness, and exploring the radically plural ontologies offered by visions of shared, joint, or group body-minds? This paper turns to science fiction as a source of such visions, considering depictions of symbiotic and hive minds through the non-traditional models of ontology and agency. While science fiction has traditionally represented plural being as a troubling and fearful injury to wholeness, this paper aims to highlight the symbiotic Tok’ra1 of television series Stargate SG-1 as a model of excess being that not only challenges the naturalization of the “complete” body, but also asks us to interrogate presumed boundaries between self and other.

Since they didn’t have access to a plotter, plans had to be printed on A4 paper and stuck together, in a circle. The small details of the gate had to Tweet be drawn up from scratch, using photos and video footage. The skeleton of the gate is made up of 18 X-shaped pieces, and the spinning part is made from small planks. 89 The intricate stargate symbols had to be painstakingly carved, from wood, and chevrons first had to be carved from Styrofoam. The back of the stargate, though painted in gray, is totally fake, but the front looks realistic enough, with chevrons locking and everything. Thanks to an inner track, it even spins. Mango wasn’t too satisfied with the paint-job, but all in all this is a geeky masterpiece, just like the Stargate Share home-cinema .
