Serbien/Mazedonien Im „Herzen Des Balkan“! „Hochinteressanter, abnormer Einstangenbock!“ „ Erlegt Anfang Juni 2015, 689 g, 459 g und 654 g!“ I. For this reason, the monitoring of the total accumulated precipitation fields at the surface with rain gauges and meteorolog- 5 ical radars has both strengths and weakness. Alternatively, a numerical cloud model may be a useful tool to simulate convective precipitation for various analyses and pre- dictions. The main objective of this paper is to show that the cloud-resolving model reproduces well the accumulated convective precipitation obtained from the rain gauge network data in the area with frequent split storms. We perform comparisons between 10 observations and model samples of the areal accumulated convective precipitation for a 15-yr period over treated area.

The transformation of the settlement structure is shown in the area of Šumadija district. The trend of demographic and economic development was observed with a historical overview. It was upgraded with quantitative analyzes (chain index, population change index, functional classification, index of specialization and localization) for the period 1971–2011. The aim was to determine the degree of socio-economic transformation of Šumadija district and the regularities according to which these changes took place. Industrialization generally brings changes in the functional orientation and redistribution of the population. The deagrarianization was one of the main features, with parallel emigration of the rural population. These changes were intensive in 1961–1981, when the peak of employment in secondary activities was registered.

TECHNICAL REPORT FOR SERBIA LSMS 2007 Republican Statistical Office of Serbia, Department for International Development and World Bank 1.1 FIELDWORK Approximately 90% of the LSMS questionnaire was based on the 2002 and 2003 LSMS questionnaire, carrying forward core measures in order to measure trends over time. The survey incorporated two methods of interviewing - one involving the interviewer (face to face) and the other was a self-completion diary. All modules, with the exception of the consumption diary, were filled by the interviewer with the respondent. The diary was left in the household and filled in by the household member in charge of daily purchases. Fieldwork consisted of three phases. The first phase involved identification of the household and filling of certain modules, after which the household was instructed how to keep the diary of consumption. In the second phase each household kept the diary, while the interviewers were obliged to visit the household and help them in fill the diary where needed. In the third phase the interviewer visited the household again, examined the diary to see whether it had been correctly filled, and conducted the interview for the remaining modules. Distribution of modules according to phases is presented in the following table. Table 1: Organization of modules by phases of data collection 1. Demography and migration 2. Durable goods 1.phase: 3. Balschweid Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education Purdue University Roger Tormoehlen Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education Purdue University Abstract The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine the community leadership role taken by the Women’s Association of Stragari, Central Serbia, and its subsequent impact on the economic development of the region. Due in part to its turbulent past, the population of Serbia, most especially its rural population, had to forge a new path in the country’s post-conflict transition economy. Unemployment is a major problem in Serbia, but it has had an even greater impact on women. The Association was created out of a need to address the challenges faced by the community of Stragari. Data were collected during a focus group meeting with members of the Association involved in the agricultural production, marketing, and sales of its organic products. The Women’s Association of Stragari has helped to revitalize a dying rural community. Membership in the Association increases yearly, with both men and women joining the Association with the aim to improve their livelihoods and have gainful employment. What started out as a small local venture has gained national and international recognition.
