Entries are accepted on condition that exhibitors agree to abide by the Show Rules and rules for the use of the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. EXTREME WEATHER POLICY Should the Bureau of Meteorology predict a severe weather warning for the date of an APSB NSW show, the committee will consider cancellation. Refunds will be given after costs incurred have been deducted. If the event has commenced and abandoned there will be no refunds. If the event is postponed entries will be transferred to the new date. REGISTRATION & MEMBERSHIP – APSB & WELSH CLASSES • ALL ponies entered in classes for APSB Ponies must be registered or foal recorded if under 4yrs of age with the Australian Pony Stud Book Society Inc OR eligible for reciprocal registration with the exception of foals which must be eligible to be so registered. • Ponies entered in Welsh classes must be registered with either the APSB or WPCS of Australia Inc unless stated otherwise. • ALL owners/exhibitors must be current full financial members of the APSB. • ALL ponies 4yrs of age or older MUST be adult registered COPIES OF PONY REGISTRATION PAPERS AND CURRENT MEMBERSHIP CARDS MUST BE SENT WITH YOUR ENTRIES. ENTRIES CANNOT BE APPROVED WITHOUT THESE. NON-APSB CLASSES ALL ponies competing in breed or colour classes other than APSB classes must be registered with a relevant breed Society for the class entered. REFUNDS Entry fees and stable fees will not be refunded (excluding cleaning bonds) CATALOGUE A catalogue will be supplied to each exhibitor at the show who has pre-entered classes. No pony or exhibit will be permitted to compete in a class in which it is not catalogued unless officially transferred. SUBSTITUTION OF ENTRIES No substitution of entries will be permitted under any circumstances after the closing date of entry. AGE OF ALL PONIES to be calculated as from 1st August. Every pony foaled before 1st August in any year shall be deemed to be one year older on that date. PRESENTATION OF WELSH Welsh Ponies & Cobs MUST be presented as per the APSB Rules and Regulations. Clipped and plaited ponies will not be judged . PRESENTATION OF SHETLANDS Shetlands MUST be presented as per the APSB Rules and Regulations. Clipped and dyed Shetlands will not be judged. PRESENTATION OF AUSTRALIAN PONIES Australian pony foals cannot be clipped as per the APSB Rules and Regulations. SPONSORSHIP The Committee is inviting your support of the show by sponsoring ribbons at a cost of: $60 per SECTION (including classes and relevant championship); $30 per CHAMPIONSHIP (Champion & Reserve Champion ribbons) or $10 per CLASS. All sponsorships will be acknowledged in the official catalogue. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR If the Chief Steward in any ring or the Ringmaster, in his/her opinion finds that the behaviour of any exhibitor is offensive or disruptive in any way to any other competitor or to the judge, or to the committee, that exhibitor may be eliminated from that event. That bullying behaviour or malicious comments regarding judges or judging within the vicinity of the arena will not be tolerated and such behaviour will be referred to the Committee. ENTRANT NAMES All ponies must be entered under their registered name and in the name of the current registered owner or that owner’s stud name. Where an exhibitor has or is a partner in more than one prefix each prefix or owner will be treated as a separate identity for any award involving a point score. - 2 - ACCEPTABLE DRESS FOR EXHIBITORS AND STEWARDS Gentleman : Slacks, coat, tie and hat. Ladies : Jodhpurs, jacket, tie and hat or Skirt/dress, blouse and hat, or Slacks, shirt and hat. NO SHORTS OR THONGS OR BASEBALL CAPS . ENTRY FEES Refer to Entry Forms. FREE CLASSES If an Exhibitor enters 11 classes, they will only need to pay for 10 and the 11 th will b e free (e.g. Enter 11, pay for 10, enter 22, and pay for 20 and so on). LATE ENTRIES Late entries will NOT be accepted after the closing date. ENTRIES ON THE DAY – Must produce registration papers and current membership cards when entering on the day. Pony already entered: $30 per extra class entered on the day Pony not already entered: $65 for the first class (includes $30 admin & ground amenities) then $35.00 for each class thereafter. Ponies not pre entered will also have whichever are applicable, - day parking fees or stabling fees with a $79 stable bond per stable. STABLE BOOKINGS, ALLOCATION & FEES Refer to Entry Forms for fees ACCOMMODATION FEES – CAMPING & CABINS Refer to Entry Forms for fees PAYMENT OF FEES Whilst we understand that many shows have closing dates around the same time as the NSH & PS, we will accept an agreed late payment date should you wish to pay at a later date (no later than 19/10/18). This can only be done if arranged with our Treasurer, Ann Sinnett and your entries must still be received by the closing date of entries. Any cheque or negotiable instrument received or accepted by the Committee shall be deemed to have been received as a conditional payment only and subject to payment upon presentation Records should be kept of all payments sent through the mail in case of same going astray. All cheques and negotiable instruments should be made payable to APSB SOCIETY NSW BRANCH . EXHIBIT NUMBERS Exhibit numbers for exhibits must be collected from the Show Office. These numbers may be cut to fit number holders or worn on the handler/rider’s back. RIBBON RAFFLE Exhibitors may return ribbons and receive a ticket in a raffle. Prize advised at the show. COMMITTEE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY It is the policy of the Committee to see that all due care is taken to protect property, but the Committee shall not be liable to any person in case of loss or damage by reason of any defect, accident, negligence or neglect however arising. TIMETABLE A timetable for events will be available via our NSW APSB Facebook page and supplied in your exhibitors pack/catalogue. Sunday classes WILL NOT be timetabled. JUDGES Judges for the various classes are correct at time of printing. However, it should be realised that situations can change between now and November. Therefore if a Judge whose name appears in this Schedule cannot (for whatever reason) meet their commitment, then another person will be selected to take his/her place. Any change of judge/s will be advised in the timetable or catalogue if possible. No exhibitor/Owner will have contact with any judge anytime throughout the show including use of social media. PROTESTS Any protests must be lodged along with a $100 fee within 2 hours of the occurrence. Protest fees are not refundable if the protest is dismissed. Contact Ringmaster Fred Riley. DEFINITIONS Exhibitor: means the person or stud on whose behalf and in whose name the entry form is lodged. Owner : means the person who is registered as the owner of such pony in a stud book or register of the A.P.S.B. Society. Where a pony has been leased and a lease form lodged with the A.P.S.B. Society, the lessee shall be eligible to enter such pony. Newcomer: A Newcomer is a pony that has not competed under saddle in any competition prior to January 1, 2017. Newcomers must be ridden in a snaffle bit. Filly: A female 3yrs of age or under which has not had a foal. Colt: A male 3yrs of age or under that has not been gelded. Gelding: ALL ponies entered in gelding classes MUST be gelded Broodmare: A Broodmare is a mare or filly which is in foal, has a positive pregnancy test and is due to foal in the current breeding season (prior to 31 July), which has a foal at foot or a mare which has had a foal registered with the relevant breed society within the last three years. BROODMARES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE IN ANY OTHER CLASS IN THE SAME BREED SECTION OR IN ANY RIDDEN CLASS. (Group classes accepted) Wet mares MUST be accompanied by their foals. Stallions/Colts: Stallions or Colts must not be handled or ridden by a child under 17yrs. - 3 - THIRD GENERATION AUSTRALIAN Ponies entered in these classes must have a Third Generation certificate or be certified 3G on certificate of registration. Champions in this section are only eligible to compete for Supreme Third Generation Australian Pony. SAFETY HELMETS All riders must wear an approved safety helmet at all times when mounted. Junior Drivers in harness classes must wear an approved safety helmet. HARNESS CLASSES A Novice Harness Pony is one which has not been placed first in any harness class at an agricultural show or equivalent at closing date of entries. MEASURING Measuring of all exhibits is not compulsory. EFA, Hack Council or Royal Show measuring certificates for the current year will be accepted.
