GWYNEDD All beaches including the seashore, foreshore and any slope or staircase leading onto the beaches between 1st April and 30th September, as described below:- No Beach Exclusion Area 1 Aberdyfi the area of seashore from a point situated at the boundary between the car park and the Fire Station in an easterly direction for a distance of 195 metres. 2 Tywyn from a point opposite the beach access at Sandilands Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 1040 metres opposite Warwick Place Road. 3 Y Friog / Fairbourne the area of seashore from a point opposite the Golf House in a southerly direction for a distance of 840 metres. 4 Barmouth the area of seashore at Barmouth from a point opposite Beach Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 300 metres to Ynys y Brawd causeway. 5 Bennar (Morfa Dyffryn) the area of seashore opposite the main beach access point (boardwalk) in a northerly direction for a distance of 230 meters opposite the access point leading to Dyffryn Seaside Estate. 6 Llandanwg the seashore from the main access point, near the car park, in a southerly direction for a distance of 250 metres. 7 Harlech the area of beach south of the beach access for a distance of 400 metres. 8 Morfa Bychan the area of beach between the Main Entrance and Beach Road (Black Rock Sands) 9 Criccieth - Promenade the area of beach extending between the pier (jetty) and the end of the Beach promenade in the east. 10 Criccieth West (Marine the area of beach from the Castle headland in a westerly direction to a Beach) point opposite the first steps on the promenade. 11 Pwllheli - Glan Don the area of beach to the south of the access point towards the land near the harbour entrance. 12 Pwllheli - Marian-y-De the beach area opposite the promenade to a point opposite the junction to West End Parade 13 Abersoch - Port Fach the beach area to the south of the access point opposite Abersoch L&S including the beach adjacent to Lon Pen Cei towards the headland. 14 Abersoch - Porth Fawr the area of coast to the North of the access point (i.e. slipway) towards the direction of the Sailing Club and beyond the headland of Penbennar. 15 Aberdaron the area of beach which extend from the beach access point (near the Ty Newydd Public House) towards the cliffs of Porth Simdde. 16 Porth Oer (Whistling all of the bay / beach Sands) 17 Porth Towyn south-western end of the beach opposite the caravan park 18 Morfa Nefyn the area of beach extending from the access point (bottom of Lon Bridin) towards the headland. 19 Dinas Dinlle the area of beach between the rock armour groynes opposite the promenade at the southern section of the beach. 20 Machroes (BwlchTocyn) the area to the south-east of the access point towards the headland of Penrhyn Du. 21 Porth Neigwl the beach to the South-East of the access point towards the cliffs of Mynydd Cilan. 22 Llanbedrog the beach to the north-east of the access point (bottom of Lon Nant Iago) towards Carreg y Defaid. 23 Traeth Penllech Southern extremity of the beach (i.e. to the south of Afon Fawr) 24 Borth-y-Gest all of the bay / beach 4.

NGR: SH 5384 6953 © Crown copyright: Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales: Dating Old Welsh Houses: North West Wales Dendrochronology Project HOUSE DETAILS: An ‘important sub-medieval house which appears to be constructed in at least three or four phases, beginning in the early-mid C16 as a 2-unit house with lateral chimney, consisting of the ground floor of hall, passage and small outer room. It reached the present E-shaped plan in the early-mid C17, with the addition of a storeyed porch over the entrance, and a similar oriel bay at the E end: rear stair wing dated on close- studding, 1638. The E-plan was completed towards the end of the C17 with the addition of a larger N wing on the W side [...]. Outbuildings attached to the W end are later, mostly C19.’ (CADW listing description). ‘Lavish version of Snowdonia plan-type with projecting oriel, porch and later kitchen (?1660s) giving a busy front elevation. House has a contemporary rear parlour wing. Service rooms were in basement under the hall. Hall has a lateral chimney, framed ceiling, 16 panels; broad chamfered beams with curved stops with a torus’ (Richard Suggett, RCAHMW). Description in RCAHMW Caernarvonshire Vol. II, no. 1387a. Cantref: Arfon. Commote: Maenol Bangor (Atlas of Caernarvonshire p 71). Dendrochronology results: (a) Hall Range – felling dates: Winter 1557/8 and Summer 1562. Lower purlin 1561 (30½C); Principal rafters (3/4) 1557(52C), 1551(19+8C NM); 1536(17¼C NM); Tiebeams (0/2); Strut (0/1); Collar (0/1); (b, c) Middle Range and Rear Range – felling date: Winter 1628/9.

The Chairman welcomed Ms Heidi Vaughan Williams, Chairman Harlech & Ardudwy Leisure together with Mr. Chris Hulse one of the Directors of the centre and Mr. Iestyn Pritchard from Gwynedd Council to the meeting to discuss the future of the swimming pool. Ms Williams explained that a meeting had been held on the 8th of last month with Members of the 6 Town and Community Councils in the pool catchment area present to discuss the precept proposal so as to be able to keep the facilities open in the future. Also she said that there had been financial problems for a number of years and now there is a need for the Town and Community Councils to raise their precept so as to keep the facilities open and if this does not happen the facility would close in November 2016. Ms Williams distributed different documents showing the different figures and how much the Councils would have to add to their precept so as to tranfer it to Harlech & Ardudwy Leisure. It was agreed to discuss this matter further later as it was also an agenda item. 7.3 CHAIRMAN’S ANNOUNCEMENT On behalf of the Council the Chairman sympathised with the family of the late Mr.
