Presented by city municipalities across Thailand and in Bangkok, the Thai Cycling for Health Association (TCHA). Location: Several major cities around Thailand will hold their own 'Car Free Day 2014' events during the weekend of September 20-21. Main Bangkok event will host a bike exhibition/knowledge fair for bicycles at Central World Plaza from 10am until 10pm every day (Sept 15-20). The MAIN event is Sunday's ride through the city on September 21. Riders can register from 6am until 6:30am at multiple gathering places in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. Click here to view and download 24 locations in Bangkok. Just one of the many gathering points will be the Thai airways head office on Vipawadee-Rungsit Road. Riders from all gathering locations will converge at Sanam Luang by 8am in order to participate in the opening ceremony. Bike procession will leave Sanam Luang at 8:30am and ride through the city to Central World Plaza Bangkok Ratchaprasong. Upon arrival all cyclists are welcome to exhibition, free activities and lunch. At 3pm the ride procession will return to original assembly points in the city. Riders who wish to preregister and pay 200 THB to become a TCHA member should visit the Thai Cycling for Health Association website. The 4th annual running of the Doi Suthep Individual Time Trial - a Road bike and Mountain bike competition for cyclists to pit themselves against the famous Chiang Mai climb. Rider start times will be at equal intervals at 30 seconds apart. Start Location: Doi Suthep nature study center in front of the Chiang Mai Zoo, Chiang Mai province.     International Forum of Teaching and Studies Vol. 9 No. 2 2013 A Study of Using Instructional Media to Enhance Scientific Process Skill for Young Children in Child Development Centers in Northeastern Area Sutas Janbuala, Sudthipan Dhirapongse, Nisarat Issaramanorose and Mana Iembua Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, Thailand E-mail: [email protected] [Abstract] The purposes of this research were to study 1) the criteria used to determine learning areas relevant to scientific process skill for young children; 2) the scientific process skill promoted by using instructional media; 3) the criteria of learning resources selecting, instruction media selecting, instructional media resources and types of instructional media; 4) the problems and the obstacles of using local wisdom instructional media in learning management and; 5) the problems and obstacles of inventing scientific instructional media using local wisdom in learning management. The population used in this research was 394 of child caregiver teachers in child development centers and the data collected through the questionnaire designed by the researchers. The research results were as follow: 1) The first criterion that child caregiver teachers used to determine learning areas relevant to scientific process skill for young child was the content related to the children follow by the content appropriated with age and development. 2) The scientific process skill promoted by using instructional media was rated in order by observation skill and comparison skill respectively. 3) The criteria of learning resources selecting, instruction media selecting, instructional media resources and types of instructional media found; 4) The problems and the obstacles of using local wisdom instructional media in learning management were the durability of the instructional media and the lack of knowledge of child caregiver teachers in using local wisdom in learning management.

With this concern and the growing interest in administrative restructure in developing countries, many political scientists and economists have argued that social capital is an important determinant of economic development and of the functioning of institutions. Social capital has commonly been studied in recent years from the perspective of sociology and political science; however, social capital alone cannot explain all of the phenomena to which it has been related. Thus, much more needs to be known about how social capital is related to various affecting factors and what the indicators and benefits of social capital are. In this dissertation, the goal of the study was to explore empirically one particular concept of “social capital” concerning whether it really exists and through what indicators formed in Thai rural communities. Secondly, through different case studies it would be possible to identify the degrees of social capital in different sub- districts. Thirdly, within the political perspective the study will find out whether social capital benefits or affects the choice of local leadership.

E-mail address: [email protected] Received: 25 January 2018; Accepted: 15 May 2018 Abstract Health issues have increased among monks in Thailand due to food consumption behavior diet based on food offered by Buddhists at present. Most foods offered by Thai Buddhists are often rich in carbohydrates and fat which may contribute to the monks’ declining health. The objective of this research was to survey foods and analyze nutritional value of food offered to monks by Thai Buddhists. Cross-sectional survey revealed that the most common dishes are five-spice eggs (Kai Palo), Spicy minced pork (Larb moo), sour soup with mixed vegetables (Kaeng Som Pak Reum), omelet (Kai jieow) and curry with pickled bamboo shoots (Kaeng Pet Nor Mai Dong). Simple random sampling methods were used to collect samples. Samples of these popular dishes were collected from different restaurants and recipes and analyzed using the nutritional analysis program, INMUCAL V.3. The results from each 100 g of food showed that the five-spice eggs contained the most sodium and sugar (654.70 mg and 5.53 g, respectively). Spicy minced pork provided the highest carbohydrates, protein and calories (23.98 g, 14.29 g and 231.65 kcal, respectively).
