Shortly after the hurricane struck, our scientists, through our Rapid Response program, began to conduct research to understand how Harvey has impacted the coast and offshore Gulf of Mexico. This research will help determine the best ways to deal with many coastal issues in the aftermath of the storm, and how we might better prepare for such events in the future. • Merrill Osmond to Perform Clasic Rock Hits at Snow
Merrill Osmond To Perform Clasic Rock Hits At Snow October 20, 2008 Contact: Greg Dart Snow College School Relations 435-283-7154 EPHRAIM - Merrill Osmond, former lead singer of the music group The Osmonds, will be performing at Snow College Oct. 29. Osmond, 55, will be playing songs from his recent cover album “A Tribute to Classic Rock.” “It’s a thrill to be able to have an artist of this caliber coming to play for us at Snow College,” said Snow College spokesman Greg Dart. “I’m sure Osmond will put on a good show.” The fifth of nine children in his family, Osmond’s voice is credited for originally spurring the group to fame in the early 1970s. That’s not to say that pop is all he plays-he is now a solo touring artist and has released two rock- based cover albums. Classic rock is Osmond’s favorite musical genre-and perhaps his performing forte. At Snow, he will play several old favorites like “Takin’ Care of Business,” “Born To Be Wild” and “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”-including “Hold Her Tight,” a popular Osmonds song he created as a young man that hit high in the charts both in America and internationally. A release by Osmond’s recording company claims that “his versatility as a solo singer is a best-kept secret.” “He is a soulful, throaty rock and roll lead singer with a charismatic stage presence,” the release continues. “A Tribute to Classic Rock” is his newest addition to an almost lifelong assortment of musical titles.

  • Sound Advice, Is a Journey of Over 60 Years of Unique Experiences Lived by Two Generations
Merrill Osmond, lead singer of The Osmonds, has spent nearly 60 years in show business. The lessons Merrill has learned along the way are absolutely priceless and worth sharing. He’s made it his personal mission to spend the rest of his life passing on these valuable tools with audiences around the world. Justin Osmond, the 2nd son of Merrill, has "overcome" a 90% hearing loss and though he was constantly told he couldn’t, he’s proved them wrong and has gone on to run several successful businesses & charities. He knows that the work ethic, persistence, positive attitude and goal-oriented skills he's developed have been crucial in his life and he enjoys sharing these messages with others. Merrill and Justin have teamed-up for an epic presentation of inspired messages and music designed to help audiences take their business and personal lives to the next level, with no excuses. The program, Sound Advice, is a journey of over 60 years of unique experiences lived by two generations. They share an inside look to the many lessons they’ve gathered throughout the years. They also share personal and professional advice from friends such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Ronald Reagan, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Chuck Norris to name a few. Merrill and Justin use their personal experiences to show each person how they can face their fears and challenges, discover and focus on their strengths, have a positive attitude, work with difficult people, and achieve their full potential. Each presentation is customized to align with the meeting message and theme.
