Dobre June 14: I gave my first lecture at the University Carlos III of Madrid (IEEE ComSoc Spain Chapter). My host was Professor Victor P. Gil Jimenez. The talk was on 5G and Beyond: When All Technologies Should Work Together for Good, and it was attended by 20+ professors and students. At the end of the talk, there were interesting questions and discussions about the new directions for beyond 5G. In addition to the talk, I had fruitful meetings with several colleagues at University Carlos III of Madrid, as well as meetings with a good number of students. These meetings, as well as the talk, were interactive and engaging. June 17: I gave my second talk at the University of Bologna, Italy (IEEE ComSoc Italy Chapter), which was attended by about 25 faculty members and students. Professors from University of Ferrara and University of Bologna at Cesena attended the lecture. The topic stimulated interesting technical discussions, opening the door for potential collaborations. June 25: I gave my third lecture at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (IEEE ComSoc Portugal Chapter). My host was Professor Rui Dinis. The talk was on 5G and Beyond: When All Technologies Should Work Together for Good, and it was attended by 40+ professors and students from different universities in the area of Lisbon. There were many questions from the audience and very fruitful discussions on research trends for future wireless networks. June 26: I gave my fourth talk at the University of Coimbra, in Coimbra, Portugal. My host was Professor Marco Gomes. The talk was attended by 20+ professors and students. After the talk, we had very thought- provoking and productive discussions about various technologies considered for 5G and Beyond, with focus on security in these networks. June 27: I gave the fifth talk at the Instituto de Telecomunicações in Aveiro, Portugal. The audience consisted of about 50 researchers, engineers, faculty members, and students. My hosts were Dr. Ayman Radwan and Professor Rui R. A. Aguiar. There were noteworthy discussions on various technologies for future wireless communications, with numerous interesting ideas spurring out of these technical dialogues. July 3: I gave the sixth talk at the University of Salamanca, Spain. There were more than 40 attendees, and a stimulating question and answer session followed the talk. My hosts were Professors Javier Prieto and Juan M. Corchado. I also visited the Computer Science and Automation Control Department, more specifically the Bioinformatic, Intelligent Systems and Educational Technology (BISITE) research group. It was very interesting to learn about the projects that the group has and to discuss future trends in technology. July 5: I gave the seventh talk at the University of Cantabria, Spain. This was attended by about 50 faculty members and students. My host was Professor Ramon Aguero. An interview was done by the university, which is available on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk1Arn2LQjI.
