Carolina lebt und trainiert in Oberstdorf (Deutschland) bei ihrem Trainer Michael Huth. Caro ist die Führende in der ISU Weltrangliste (world standings) und ist bei der kommenden EM in Sheffield (GBR) und WM in Nizza (FRA) die heißeste Medaillenanwärterin. Aliona SAVCHENKO & Robin SZOLKOWY (GER) Paarlauf – coppia d’artistico Bronzemedaille bei Olympischen Spielen Vancouver 2010 3-fache Weltmeister (2008, 2009 und 2011) 4-fache Europameister (2007, 2008, 2009 und 2011) Aliona Savchenko stammt ursprünglich aus der Ukraine und läuft erst seit 2003 für Deutschland, an der Seite von Robin Szolkowy. Die beiden 2004, nachdem sie erst wenige Monate zusammen trainierten, die Deutsche Meisterschaft gewonnen und holten gleich bei ihrer dritten Europameisterschaftsteilnahme 2007 die Goldmedaille. Seit dem haben sich noch vier weitere Europameistertitel und ein Vize-Europameistertitel hinzugesellt. Aliona und Robin sind dreifache und gleichzeitige, amtierende Weltmeister. Bei den Olympischen Spielen 2010 in Vancouver holten sich die beiden die Bronzemedaille. Sie trainieren mit dem Ex- Weltmeister Ingo Steuer in Chemnitz. Da allora hanno aggiunto altri quattro titoli Europei e un titolo di vicecampioni Europei. Aliona e Robin hanno già vinto tre Campionati del Mondo e sono i campioni in carico. Ai Giochi Olimpici di Vancouver 2010 hanno vinto la medaglia di bronzo. Stars Icegala 2011 Sarah MEIER (SUI) Europameisterin 2011 Vize-Europameisterin 2007 und 2008 Sarah Meier (27) ist die amtierende Europameisterin. 2011 gewann sie bei der EM in Bern vor heimischem Publikum die Goldmedaille. Sarah wollte bereits 2009 bei der Icegala auftreten, aber leider musste sie kurz vor ihrem Auftritt wegen einer Verletzung absagen. Sarah Meier ist 8-fache Schweizer Meisterin und sie hat neben der Goldmedaille bei der EM auch noch zwei Vize- Europameistertitel (2007 und 2008). Nach der Saison 2010/11, die sie wie bereits erwähnt, mit dem Europameistertitel abschloss, hat die junge Bühlacherin (CH) die Wettkampfkarriere an den Nagel gehängt. Melanie LAMBERT & Fred PALASCAK (USA) Adagio-Paar Das US-amerikanische Ehepaar Melanie Lambert und Fred Palascak läuft seit dem Jahr 1994 zusammen und bevor sie ihre Profikarriere als “Adagio-Paar” starteten waren sind sie bei den nationalen Meisterschaften mitgelaufen. Sie werden mit ihren atemberaubenden Paarlauf-Künsten das Publikum der Bozner Eiswelle verzaubern. Coppia d’artistico adagio La coppia statunitense, marito e moglie, Melanie Lambert e Fred Palascak pattina insieme dal 1994 e prima di dedicarsi esclusivamente alla carriera da professionisti, ha gareggiato anche nel Campionato nazionale. I due affascineranno il pubblico del Palaonda con il loro programma spettacolare. Kevin VAN DER PERREN (BEL) Der Belgier Kevin van der Perren (29) ist wohl der erfolgreichste Eiskunstläufer seines Landes. Er gehört zu den sprunggewaltigsten Läufern der Eiskunstlaufszene und zeigte 2002 als erster Läufer der Welt eine Sprungkombination aus drei dreifachen Sprüngen. Kevin ist 7-facher belgischer Meister, Silbermedaillen-Gewinner der Junioren-WM (2002) und gewann zwei Bronzemedaillen bei Europameisterschaften (2007 und 2009). Kevin ist mit der britischen Eiskunstläuferin Jenna McCorkell verheiratet. Kevin van der Perren é sicuramente il pattinatore più famoso del Belgio. Kevin è noto come saltatore e é stato il primo atleta a far vedere una combinazione di salti tripli in gara. È stato sette volte campione nazionale, vice campione mondiale juniores e ha vinto per due volte la medaglia di bronzo ai campionati Europei (nel 2007 e nel 2009). Van der Perren è sposato con la pattinatrice britannica Jenna McCorkell. Sie kommt aus Russland, er aus Kanada. Die Moskauerin Violetta Afanasieva arbeitete im russischen Eiszirkus und wechselte später zur Show. Seit Sommer 2009 trainieren Nelli und Alex nun in Oberstdorf bei Rostislav Sinicyn und sie werden vom deutschen Bundestrainer Martin Skotnicky betreut. Ihr Choreograph ist der bulgarische Eistänzer und ex- Weltmeister Maxim Stavisky, der auch schon in Bozen, zusammen mit seiner Partnerin Albena Denkova, aufgetreten ist. Nelli und Alex sind die amtierenden deutschen Meister und haben beim ihren letzten beiden ISU Grand Prix in Amerika und Japan jeweils Rang 4 belegt. Stars Icegala 2011 Shawn SAWYER (CAN) Shawn Sawyer ist amtierender kanadischer Vize-Meister und er sollte eigentlich 2011 zu den Weltmeisterschaften nach Japan. Aber als diese wegen den Katastrophen in Japan verschoben wurden und er bereits die Auftritte bei der kanadischen Tour von „ Stars on Ice “ geplant hatte, sagte er seine WM-Teilnahme kurzfristig ab und ist seit dem nur noch Profiläufer. Shawn Sawyer é vicecampione nazionale del Canada in carico. Come tale era stato convocato nella squadra nazionale ed avrebbe dovuto gareggiare ai Campionati Mondiali del 2011 in Giappone. Quando questi sono stati spostati per le catastrofi in Giappone, Shawn a deciso di rinunciare alla sua partecipazione inquanto aveva già preso l’impegno di pattinare nel tour canadese di “ Stars on Ice ”. Da allora Sawyer si dedica esclusivamente a spettacoli ed alla sua carriera professionale. Carol BRESSANUTI Die junge Bozner Athletin Carol Bressanuti (18 Jahre), die für den Verein “Pattinaggio Artistico Bolzano A.S.D.” läuft ist Mitglied des Italienischen Nationalteams. In der Saison 2011/12 hatte sie ihr Debüt bei der internationalen ISU Grand Prix Serie und belegten bei ihrem ersten Wettkampf Platz 16. Carol hat den ersten nationalen Wettkampf, der Mitte November in der Eiswelle Bozen stattgefunden hat, gewonnen. La giovane atleta bolzanina Carol Bressanuti (18 anni) pattina per la società “Pattinaggio Artistico Bolzano A.S.D.” e fa parte della squadra nazionale Italiana, categoria senior. Nella stagione 2011/12 ha esordito nel circuito dell'ISU Junior Grand Prix piazzandosi sedicesima. Carol ha vinto la prima gara nazionale, svoltasi al Palaonda di Bolzano a metà novembre. Eleonora LIVIERI Eleonora, 9 Jahre, läuft für den Iceclub Meran und gehört zu den großen Talenten im Eiskunstlauf.

Skate America is the first of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series and features 56 competitors, many of whom competed in the Sochi Olym- pics, from 18 countries gathering here to showcase their skills and talents. At the conclusion of the Grand Prix Series, the top skaters qualify for the Grand Prix Final, taking place Dec. 11–14 in Barcelona, Spain. In Single and Pair skating all entered participants skate the Short Program. At the European Figure Skating Championships the best placed 20 Men and Ladies and 16 Pairs qualify for the final Free Skating. The Ice Dance competition starts with the Compulsory Dance, which all entered couples have to skate, the best 30 placed couples will continue the event with the Original Dance and at the European Figure Skating Championships the best 16 placed couples qualify for the final Free Dance GENERAL RULES ISU Championships are held in accordance with the International Skating Union (ISU) Regulations. The ISU Judging System used at the Figure Skating events is the one adopted by the 2004 ISU Congress. It is constructed as follows: 1. COMPETITIONS OFFICIALS Technical Panel The Technical Panel is composed of the Technical Controller, the Technical Specialist and the Assistant Technical Specialist, each one from different ISU Members (countries). A Data Operator assists them for recording purposes.
