Baclig, 92. Also was o former Hawaiian Airlines sales representative, KHBC radio announcer and police and court reporter. He served as bandmaster and chief warrant officer with the 110th Hawaii Army National Guard Band, taught band at several big Island high schools, and was a former choir director at Central Christian Church. He was past president of several organizations, including the Hilo Lions Club, the Boys and girls Club of Hilo, the Filipino Council of Hawaii and the Association of Filipino Americans. Born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, he is survived by wife Lucille; sons Andres Jr. and Lionel; daughters Arlene L. Horne and Carol L. BACLIG, ANDRES “ANDY” A. SR., died March 5, 1992. He was born in the Philippines and was a noted music educator and band leader for more than 50 years and a community and Filipino leader.
