I~O ington since 1976, and is the founder and artistic director of the r" Chamber Music Festival which will be held at the Lakeside ,. School this summer for the 17th year. A graduate of The Juilliard v~ . I School and the Conservatoire de Musique in Paris, she held Fulbright and Rockefeller grants and made her Town Hall solo debut at age 18 \7'\ Suite No~ 1 in G Major ... Chamber Music Society, Vancouver, Cascade Head, Bargemusic, St. Sarabande Cere, New Mexico, Amsterdam, Juneau, Marlboro, Stratford, Spoleto, Menuets 1 and 2 and Anchorage festivals. ,"d.';<) 15-year-old SARAH CARTER began taking cello lessons at age seven and has been studying with Toby Saks since she was 11 years old. A <::I!VTERMISSION sophomore at Maple Valley High School, Sarah has been. soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Seattle Symphony, the Marrowstone Fes­ tival Orchestra and the Seattle Youth Symphony. She recently won first place at the Washington State String Teachers Association Solo Competition, and has also been a winner of the Seattle Young Artists
