City of Brampton hosts Indian Movie Nights to celebrate IIFA BRAMPTON, ON: In celebration of the upcoming International Indian Film Academy Awards that will be taking place in Toronto in June, the City of Brampton, is hosting Bollywood under the Stars movie nights. The events feature free outdoor screenings of the best of Indian cinema in parks throughout Brampton. Beginning May 31, young and old alike will be able to enjoy a variety of films nominated at this year‟s IIFA awards. They will also be able to enter a draw for two tickets to attend the 2011 IIFA Awards at the Rogers Centre on June 25. “The IIFA movie nights provide a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together,” says Mayor Susan Fennell. “It‟s a chance for people to experience firsthand the magic of Bollywood in one of our beautiful city parks. CIBC is the presenting sponsor of the International Indian Film Academy celebrations in Toronto as well as a sponsor of the Year of India. "The IIFA 2011 program and IIFA Buzz Festival events will not only shine a spotlight on the very best of the Indian film industry from around the world, but, as importantly, they will showcase the diversity, pride and passion of Canada's South Asian communities, and Canadians of all backgrounds," said Raza Hasan, Senior Vice President at CIBC.
