  • Ex Aequo Im Individual-Sport Mehr Fairness Und Respekt Für Athlet*Innen
    „L“EX AEQUO IM INDIVIDUAL-SPORT MEHR FAIRNESS UND RESPEKT FÜR ATHLET*INNEN von Ernst Löschner Abstract In diesem Essay mit dem Titel „Lex Aequo im Individual-Sport“ stellt der Autor 3 Vorschläge zur Diskussion, die – sollten sie angenommen werden – die olympischen Spiele und Weltmeisterschaften wie auch Weltcup-Bewerbe, wie wir sie kennen, nachhaltig verändern würden. Er begründet, warum es immer drei Medaillen oder „Stockerlplätze“ und eine Neu-Ordnung der Punkteregeln geben soll, und zwar unabhängig von der Anzahl der geteilten Platzierungen bzw. Sieganwärter, und warum es durch die Einführung von „Toleranz“-Regeln bei vielen Wettkämpfen mehr Fairness und ex-aequo-Platzierungen geben würde, und auch geben sollte. Dadurch würden viele - nicht nur von den Betroffenen oft als extrem ungerecht, wenn nicht sogar als „lächerlich“ empfundene - „Härtefälle“ vermieden werden bzw. würde der Respekt und die Würde der Athlet*innen einen größeren Stellenwert bekommen. Es wird dabei auch nachgewiesen - z.B. für Alpinrennen und beim Skisprung -, wie durch eine entsprechende Programmierung bei der Zeitnehmung diese ex-aequo-Platzierungen unmittelbar, automatisch und anonym zustande kommen könnten. Anhand von konkreten Beispielen wird aufgezeigt, dass es mit sachlich begründeten minimalen Schritten möglich wäre, bei Sportereignissen mehr Freude bei den Sportler*innen zu erzielen, ohne Einbußen an jener Spannung für die Zuseher*innen, die für sie den Wettkampf attraktiv gestalten. Mehr noch: es würden zusätzliche Freiräume geschaffen, die auch anderen Athlet*innen zugute kommen.
