Performing in the weight room has become just as important as on- the-court competition, and Middle Tennessee has one of the very best staffs in the nation committed to making student-athletes the best they can be. It all happens in the Blue Raiders' 10,000-plus square foot weight room facility located adjacent to the Murphy Center and is designed for use by all Middle Tennessee student-athletes. It is a strength training area that rivals any in the country. The weight room has been described by many people as better than any in the immediate area, including those at SEC and Conference USA schools. • Since the 2008-09 season, Middle Tennessee has had one of the top three APR scores among current Conference USA members every season. • MT has posted APR scores in the top 10% in the country the last five years in a row. • The team has posted an average GPA of 3.2 over the last three years. • 90% of the team has posted a GPA of 3.0 or better over the past three years. Coach Davis and his Blue Raider Program have successfully helped the last 52 student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility graduate from Middle Tennessee State University.
