AUTUMN COURSES IN CLINICAL SURGERY I. LONG COURSE OF TUTORIALS, LECTURES AND CLINICAL CONFERENCES 21st August to 18th October 1965 DURING THE EIGHT-WEEK period from mid-August to mid-October the College organizes each Autumn a course of whole-day clinical conferences at hospitals in the London area. A similar course is held each Spring, from mid-February to mid-April. The students selected to attend these courses are divided into two groups which visit four hospitals each week. On Wednesdays during the course they receive tuition from tutors, and on Saturday mornings they attend tutorials at the College on specialist subjects. They may also apply to attend the evening lectures in the Short Course (see page 183) from 27th September to 16th October. The Course is conducted by the Penrose May Tutor in Clinical Surgery, Mr. Neville Stidolph, F.R.C.S. Fees Long Course 50 guineas; Evening Lectures 5 guineas. Applications Applications for the Autumn Course are due before 1st June: for the Spring Course before 1st December. Students are chosen by a Selection Committee. The number of applications usually exceeds a hundred, and since each Long Course can only accommodate 32 students a number of applicants may be offered a place on the Short Course as an alternative. A limited number may be accepted for the Tutorials only. LONG COURSE TUTORIALS Tutorial classes will be given on Wednesdays by the under-mentioned Consultants.
