Giants vs. 49ers, Celebrity Showdown & New $1 Million Shootout

Highlight Special Events at 2016 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Monterey, California, Feb. 8, 2016 – The new $1 million Hole-In-One For Charity Presented by Facebook, featuring 32 celebrity golfers all taking a shot at the magnificent seventh hole of Pebble Beach Golf Links, has been added to the lineup of special events this week leading up to the annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Hosted by Clint Eastwood and Jim Nantz, the Hole-In-One For Charity Presented by Facebook is Wednesday at 3 p.m., beginning with the first round, when each of the celebrities hit two shots on the famous 100-yard downhill par-3 along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. The three players closest to the hole qualify for the finals, getting one shot each to make a hole-in-one for $1 million.

A few of the notable celebrities participating in the charity event are entertainers Justin Timberlake, Mark Wahlberg, Carson Daly, Jake Owen, Kunal Nayyar, and Ray Romano as well as sports stars Josh Donaldson, Chris Berman, , Aaron Rogers, Wayne Gretzky, , Kelly Slater and Larry Fitzgerald.

If no player makes a hole-in-one during the entire competition, the player closest to the hole in the finals earns $50,000 for their selected charity.

The new event follows in the tradition of the popular Chevron Shoot-Out, which features the vs. the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., and the annual 3M Celebrity Challenge, featuring eight celebrities who pair up in twosome teams, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Each five-hole event is a $100,000 competition for charity, starting on the first hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The teams then play the second and third holes, followed by the 17th and 18th.

For the Chevron Shoot-Out, representing the 49ers are captain Harris Barton, , and Dwight Clark; the Giants’ lineup is made up of Bruce Bochy, Matt Cain, George Kontos and Randy Winn, led by non-playing captain Duane Kuiper.

Scheduled to compete in the 3M Celebrity Challenge are actors Clint Eastwood, Josh Duhamel, Alphonso Ribeiro, musicians Huey Lewis, Toby Keith, Clay Walker, Colt Ford and Kenny G, comics Larry The Cable Guy and Gary Mule Deer.

Thursday through Sunday the world’s best golf professionals – led by World No.1-ranked Jordan Spieth – join the star-studded celebrity field for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course.
