doubleheader, 9-1.

"We definitely came out and played better (in the second game)," Raider Heather Wolbers said. "In the first

game, I think we had the jitters. We were a lot more aggressive (in the second game), and that proved to be the

difference."

After getting just five hits in the opener, the Raiders pounded Faulkner pitching for nine base hits in the second

game.

Former Fort Walton Beach standout Sabrina Hardy led the Raider attack, going 2-for-4 with a .

Angela Hix was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a . Lyndsay Mesh, Heather Sehon and Kira Johnson also had hits.

Sehon scored two runs and drove in a run. Johnson drove in two runs.

The Raiders jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in the first on three hits and three Faulkner errors. OWC

coasted from there on out.

But things didn't start so well in the first game as three of Faulkner' four runs came with two outs.

The Sun Chiefs added one run in each of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

Faulkner might have done more damage in the fourth if not for a great play in center by Hardy, who threw a runner

out at the plate to end the rally.

Prior to Hardy's great play, Faulkner had scored the first run of the game.

Faulkner's 1-0 lead didn't last long as the Raiders came back in the home half of the inning to tie things up thanks in

large part to a pair of Faulkner errors.

Samantha Schoenwald drove in the first Raider run of 2008 with a sacrifice fly to score pinch-runner Cassandra

Pesch. Pesch was running for Katie Hardcasle, who reached on an error.

A two-out homer by Amanda Spillers put the Sun Chiefs back in front in the top of the fifth.

Once again the Raiders answered this time with a two-out rally of their own.

April Borchardt singled to left and took third when the ball slipped past Faulkner's Meagan Wallace. Mesh followed

with a to score Borchardt.

Raider reliever Amanda Davey's debut was one she'd probably like to forget.

Davey took the loss giving up two runs on three hits as she worked the sixth and seventh innings.

The Raiders (1-1) travel to the St. Petersburg tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
