The development plans and the complexity of our accounting and financial management structure require that we change our set-up in Budapest from an outsourced office in cooperation with our Accountant company, to a real shared services office supporting a flexible staff of 3-5 people. We therefore wish to employ a: Business Controller & Office Manager As our Business Controller you shall – within the scope of the Budapest office responsibilities - oversee the business and financial operations and share responsibility for the organization’s economic and financial performance. You shall perform practical controls, financial analysis, develop financial planning processes and assisting in design and implementation of business plans. The Business Controller works as a partner and go-between the outsourced accounting department, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Auditor - and play a key role in supporting the entire Executive Management Team with business case management and financial decision-making. The role as Office Manager includes all the administrative functions related to setting-up, maintaining, and developing our Hungarian office location in cooperation with the Executives in charge of the operations. You will also be very much involved in the testing and installation of our new CRM/ERP systems. Job Description Business Controller Duties and Responsibilities In order to manage our Hungarian organization’s administrative functions, our Business Controller must perform many different tasks: Support Financial and Executive Departments The Business Controller serves as a financial adviser and coordinator for both the company’s accounting departments and business leadership. You use research, analysis and experience to develop business cases and financial recommendations to business plans and assist leadership in key financial decisions – thus all in all - you play an important role in the company’s economic growth. Accounting & Budget follow up Working with the outsourced accountants, the Business Controller uses financial analysis and forecasting to design and oversee the execution of the company budget. Following standard accounting procedures, the Business Controller ensures that the accounting and budget reporting is properly administered and performed and follows legal guidelines – and you provide feedback to secure continuous improvement. Perform Financial Analysis The Business Controller completes regular financial analysis, identifying and managing financial risk, completing financial research, performing economic forecasting, analyzing the company’s sales and overall performance, and manages financial data. The financial analysis shall assist executive management the company with decision-making. Report Financial Findings The Business Controller is responsible for reporting findings and working with financial and executive staff to make necessary corrective actions. This can involve completing regular financial reviews and delivering accurate financial reports, executing management reports, and developing and giving presentations for Executive Management, Institutions, Bankers etc. Office Management: Being a small organization – at the outset 3-5 people – moving to a new office in Budapest, you will be involved in the office set-up and the further design and handling of the entire office management and administration. Job Description Business Controller Skills Our Business Controller must possess both strong administrative abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills. You must be able to think and act both practical/operational as well as strategic and analytical. You must be driven by results and be able to participate in our company innovation and future development. Core skills – must have: • Extensive finance and accounting knowledge and practical experience • Being proficient in MS Office Suite, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word • Practical experience with ERP systems • Experience in dealing with accounting and auditing professionals • Familiar with financial modeling and business case work • Proficient in English language Advanced skills – nice to have: • Possessing an CPA or CMA degree • Having experience with a multi-national firm or companies with foreign trade or subsidiaries • Proficient computer or IT skills • Demonstrating management skills • Experience with accounting and financial management in production companies • Understanding German language Personality: • You must be energetic and business oriented • You must be able to work independently as well as in teams - and be able to think “out of the box” • You must be able to work equally well with “the accountant” as with “the Executives” Career development As your get experienced and trained in our corporate structure – including our subsidiaries – and the organizational structures it will be natural that you develop relationships and become more involved at a Group level. As the company develops and employ more personnel in the finance, accounting, and shared services activities, it will be natural for the Business Controller to develop in the direction of Financial Management.
