The new fare can now be booked for travel in the Premium Economy cabins on the following airlines: Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, EVA Air, Lufthansa, LOT Polish Airlines, SAS, Singapore Airlines, THAI and Turkish Airlines. To provide customers with full flexibility, itineraries may include any other Star Alliance member airlines as well. On flights where Premium Economy Class is not offered, travellers will be accommodated in Economy Class. With this addition, the Star Alliance network grows to serve 1,330 destinations across 192 countries, served by more than 18,500 daily flights. Avianca Brasil is the fastest growing airline in Brazil. From 2010 to 2014 it increased its market share by 2.6% to 8.3%. In total 13 member carriers (Air Canada, Air China, Avianca, Avianca in Brazil, Copa Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, SWISS, TAP, Turkish Airlines and United) now serve Brazil, a larger number than any other alliance. Developed and managed by member carrier Air New Zealand, the LAX lounge features different experience zones to accommodate the various passenger needs, ranging from social gatherings to quiet time away from home. Accepting the award, Justin Erbacci, Vice President Customer Experience and Technology, Star Alliance, said: “This is a fantastic award for us to receive. It once again proves that by working together as an Alliance we can offer products which are highly appreciated by customers. In the case of the LAX Lounge, it underscores the positive feedback which we have been receiving since its opening in 2013."
