Hotchkiss The Texas Workforce Investment Council (Council) is pleased to present the Evaluation Vice Chair 2013 report on the Texas workforce system. Approved unanimously at the Council’s December 5, 2013 meeting, it is the fourth report for Advancing Texas: Strategic Plan for Mark Barberena the Texas Workforce System (FY2010-FY2015) (Advancing Texas) – documenting accomplishments by system partners during the past year. Robert Cross State statutes require that the Council evaluate the workforce system and report annually Mark Dunn to the Governor and the Legislature. The Council evaluates five components, including: Carmen Olivas Graham workforce system and program performance based on the Formal and Less Formal measures approved by the Governor; Thomas Halbouty implementation of action plans by partner agencies as directed by the Council’s Richard Hatfield System Integration Technical Advisory Committee; adult education action and achievements; Robert Hawkins local workforce board activities and alignment with the system strategic plan; and work development programs that focus on welfare to work initiatives. Kyle Janek Through the delivery of over 19 workforce education and training programs, state and Larry Jeffus local system partners served almost five million individuals in the last reporting year. Of those participating in workforce system programs and services, over 482,000 individuals Paul Jones completed a degree, certificate, or other measure of educational achievement.
