WHCA): Videotapes of Public Affairs, News, and Other Television Broadcasts, 1973-77
Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library White House Communications Agency (WHCA): Videotapes of Public Affairs, News, and Other Television Broadcasts, 1973-77 WHCA selectively created, or acquired, videorecordings of news and public affairs broadcasts from the national networks CBS, NBC, and ABC; the public broadcast station WETA in Washington, DC; and various local station affiliates. Program examples include: news special reports, national presidential addresses and press conferences, local presidential events, guest interviews of administration officials, appearances of Ford family members, and the 1976 Republican Convention and Ford-Carter debates. In addition, WHCA created weekly compilation tapes of selected stories from network evening news programs. Click here for more details about the contents of the "Weekly News Summary" tapes All WHCA videorecordings are listed in the table below according to approximate original broadcast date. The last entries, however, are for compilation tapes of selected television appearances by Mrs. Ford, 1974-76. The tables are based on WHCA’s daily logs. “Tape Length” refers to the total recording time available, not actual broadcast duration. Copyright Notice: Although presidential addresses and very comparable public events are in the public domain, the broadcaster holds the rights to all of its own original content. This would include, for example, reporter commentaries and any supplemental information or images. Researchers may acquire copies of the videorecordings, but use of the copyrighted portions is restricted to private study and “fair use” in scholarship and research under copyright law (Title 17 U.S. Code). Robert A. Franklin, Ph.D
Robert A. Franklin, Ph.D. October 24, 2016 Human Resources Central Washington University Ellensburg, Washington Dear Sir/Madam: With this letter I am applying for the General Manager, KCWU Radio position at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. I begin with a brief history of my management and administrative experiences in public radio management. Prior to receiving my doctorate in Heritage Studies from Arkansas State University, I managed and supervised professional personnel and student staff at university radio stations in Mississippi, Illinois, Maryland and Nebraska. As Associate Professor at Jackson State University, I taught broadcasting courses in the Department of Mass Communications. I advised broadcast students; collaborated with faculty on departmental projects; and, developed a recruiting plan to increase student diversity in the Mass Communications Department at Jackson State University. During my tenure as Assistant Professor/Director of Media Operations- KVNO/UNO-Television at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, I managed, directed budget and supervised professional staff and taught in the School of Communication. Additionally, I collaborated with faculty and community organizations to develop design and implement a public outreach media campaign to support homeless youths. In 2008, I collaborated with colleagues and community leaders to spearhead a clothing drive in Omaha, Nebraska designed to collect and transport clothes to homeless Ethiopian youths living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The clothing drive involved participation of high school, college students, local businesses, state and elected officials in Omaha, Nebraska and Houston, Texas. I planned and initiated a highly visible community service initiative titled, “Children of Omaha Public Service Media Initiative,” winner of the Nebraska Broadcaster Award of Excellence in 2009. -

Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – Aug. 22, 2020 . BMW Team RLL drivers Connor De Phillippi and Bruno Spengler shared the duo’s first ever podium with a second-place finish in today’s Michelin GT Challenge at VIR. The pair, driving the No. 25 BMW M8 GTE, completed 85 laps around Virginia International Raceway in the two-hour-and- forty-minute race, finishing 3.5 seconds behind the winning No. 3 Corvette. Teammates John Edwards and Jesse Krohn fell victim to a mechanical issue early in the race and ultimately finished 19 laps down. The story of the day and the 2020 IMSA seasons so far was the victory in the GTD class by Bill Auberlen and Robby Foley in the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT3. The win marked Auberlen’s 61st IMSA victory and moves the driver synonymous with The Ultimate Driving Machine® to the top of the standings in all-time IMSA victories. Today’s race marked Auberlen’s 443rd race start in a BMW, also a record. -
List of Directv Channels (United States)
List of DirecTV channels (United States) Below is a numerical representation of the current DirecTV national channel lineup in the United States. Some channels have both east and west feeds, airing the same programming with a three-hour delay on the latter feed, creating a backup for those who missed their shows. The three-hour delay also represents the time zone difference between Eastern (UTC -5/-4) and Pacific (UTC -8/-7). All channels are the East Coast feed if not specified. High definition Most high-definition (HDTV) and foreign-language channels may require a certain satellite dish or set-top box. Additionally, the same channel number is listed for both the standard-definition (SD) channel and the high-definition (HD) channel, such as 202 for both CNN and CNN HD. DirecTV HD receivers can tune to each channel separately. This is required since programming may be different on the SD and HD versions of the channels; while at times the programming may be simulcast with the same programming on both SD and HD channels. Part time regional sports networks and out of market sports packages will be listed as ###-1. Older MPEG-2 HD receivers will no longer receive the HD programming. Special channels In addition to the channels listed below, DirecTV occasionally uses temporary channels for various purposes, such as emergency updates (e.g. Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike information in September 2008, and Hurricane Irene in August 2011), and news of legislation that could affect subscribers. The News Mix channels (102 and 352) have special versions during special events such as the 2008 United States Presidential Election night coverage and during the Inauguration of Barack Obama.
