During his early St. Camillus De Lellis childhood, John fell seriously ill and his mother presented him before the great St.Francis of Assisi. (1550-1614) St.Francis prayed for the recovery of John and foreseeing the future glory of the child exclaimed “O buo- na ventura” – O good fortune. Aged twenty-two Bonaventure entered the Franciscan Order.
