ABOUT MICHAEL HEALD Michael Heald is Associate Professor of Violin at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. He received his doctoral degrees at Michigan State University. His violin teachers were Emanuel Hurwitz, Richard Deakin, and Walter Verdehr. He has played solos and chamber music in Europe and United States, and in his native England he was PROGRAM a member of the English String Orchestra and he performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia, and many others. Sonata for Piano and Violin in B Flat, K. 454 .............. W. A. Mozart He has appeared on stage as an orchestral musician with such Largo - Allegro (1756-1791) artists as Simon Rattle, Yehudi Menuhin, Radu Lupu, Verlery Andante Gergiev, and Bob Hope. In 2002 he recorded a CD of music by Elgar Allegretto and Beethoven. He is currently on the faculties of the Montecito International Music Festival in California and Chamber Music on the Hill in South Carolina. Concerto Performances include those works by Elgar, Mendelssohn, Bruch, and Wieniawski. Andante molto (1819-1896) Allegretto Leidenschaftlich schnell ABOUT VALERIA MORGOVSKAYA Valeria Morgovskaya graduated from the Kiev State Conservatory. Since her immigration to the US in 1990, Ms. Morgovskaya has been in high demand as accompanist for singers and all orchestral instrumentalists. She has been an official accompanist for festivals and courses such as Sonata for Violin and Piano, Op. 82 ...............................Edward Elgar Piatigorsky Cello Seminar and Beverley Hills Music Festival, and Allegro (1857-1934) has performed throughout the US, Germany and Japan, as well as Romance on numerous radio broadcasts. She has provided accompaniment Allegro non Troppo for many national and international competitions, and was an official accompanist at Schoenfeld International String Competition in Hong Kong (2013) and Harbin (2014). Ms. Morgovskaya is currently staff accompanist at Loyola Marymount University and UCLA, and is often engaged in that capacity at USC, CSULB, Colburn School, Montecito International Music Festival, Academy of the West and Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts. 2 3.
