Funding to Overseas Territories “I would like to know how much money DfID gave to each British Overseas Territory (Akrotiri & Dhekelia; Anguilla; Bermuda; British Antarctic Territory; British Indian Ocean Territory; British Virgin Islands’ Cayman Islands; Falkland Islands; Gibraltar; Montserrat; Pitcairn Islands; Saint Helena, Ascension & Tristan da Cunha; South Georgia & the South Sandwich Islands; Turks and Caicos Islands) in financial year beginning 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and how much is budgeted for 2014 in each Overseas Territory. Please can you provide a break-down of what the money was specifically spent on in each Overseas Territory in each year.” DFID holds some information relevant to your request. However, this is exempt from disclosure under Section 21 (1) (Information accessible to the applicant by other means) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as it is already accessible to you. Information relating to the amount of funding given to Anguilla, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, St Helena and Turks and Caicos Islands by the DFID from 2010-11 to 2012-13 is available in Statistics on International Development (SID) on the Inside Government website here. The information which includes a breakdown by funding type, can be found in Tables 9.1, 9.2, 9.4 and 9.5. DFID does not yet hold full information on the amount of UK aid provided in 2013-14. We do not provide funding to the remaining named territories. Information relating to the budget for 2014-15 is contained in DFID’s British Overseas Territories Operational Plan which is also available on the Inside Government website here.
