Cyngor Bro Llanpumsaint Community Council CYNGOR BRO LLANPUMSAINT COMMUNITY COUNCIL The Community Council held their monthly meeting at the Memorial Hall Tuesday night 6th of July 2010 at 7.30pm. Present Councillor W Thomas, D Jones, M Howells, A Nicholas, and M Lloyd C Smethurst. E Davies and D Davies County Councillor D Thomas Translator D Charles Apologies W Thomas Minutes The minutes of last meeting was approved and accepted as correct and signed by the Chair. Visitor Rob Phillips Rob Phillips came to discuss the proposed changes in the Gwili Railway and the extension two miles south to Abergwili Junction calling this site Carmarthen North. The Gwili Railway has arranged a bike ride or walking along the line on July 12th between 10‐4pm all is welcome. The chair thanked R Phillips for sharing this information with the Council. Llanpumsaint primary school are sorry that they would not be able to attend this evening’s meeting but would come in October instead. Matters arising Water pouring down near Coopers still Welsh Water and highways have been informed however it seems to be difficult to find the source of the problem. A Nicholas went to the meeting on public footpaths they are looking at linking footpaths in different areas in Carmarthenshire. There is an investigation to ascertain whether a breach of planning control has occurred in Clifford House. Correspondence. Letter informing the council that the ten year Census will commence on 27th of March 2011. Annual report ombudsman 2009/10. Consultation document local authority byelaws in Wales responses by September 17th 2010. A meeting in the hall on Friday night 16th of July at 7.30pm with Brechfa wind farms it is important that some of the councillors should attend. Nerys Evans AM has sent surgeries hours for different areas in the county. Assessment team Sir Gar are holding a meeting in Llanfallteg Hall Whitland on the 15 of July 2010 between 9.30‐12.30pm. A few names have been given to show interest in the Community Speed Watch. Council was informed that PCSO J Kedward would be on sick leave for 8 weeks good wishes were extended to him.
