Od 1970-ih Fenomen filmske zvijezde kao, prema enciklopedijskoj defi- nadalje fenomen zvijezda sve se vi{e prou~ava u kontekstu niciji, »glumice ili glumca iznimne popularnosti koji ~esto sa- semioti~kih i poststrukturalisti~kih pristupa. Tako britanski mim svojim nastupom osiguravaju odre|enom filmu komer- filmolog Richard Dyer u knjizi Stars (1979) analizira kakvu cijalni, ponekad i umjetni~ki uspjeh« (Markovi}, 1990: 748) vrstu dru{tvene zbilje zvijezde predstavljaju te kakav je nji- javlja se po~etkom 1910-ih1, koincidiraju}i s prijelazom nije- hov odnos spram drugih aspekata socijalne strukture, potom mog filma iz ranog razdoblja (tzv. filmske naive) u razdoblje zna~enje zvijezda (odnosno zna~enje koje utjelovljuje javna tzv. zrelog nijemoga filma. U industrijski visoko organizira- slika pojedine zvijezde) i naposljetku na~ine kojima zvijezde noj kinematografiji kakva je ameri~ka, zvijezde do kraja isto- proizvode i predstavljaju zna~enja te na~ine funkcioniranja ga desetlje}a u kojem se javljaju postaju, uz `anr, osloncem zvijezde, koja nosi vlastito zna~enje, unutar sama filmskog filmske proizvodnje, a strukturiranost njihova utjelovljava- teksta i u odnosu spram ostalih aspekata teksta, poput ka- nja sli~nih likova dovodi i do nastanka posebnoga kinema- rakterizacije i izvedbe (Dyer, 1998: 2).4 Takav pristup, koji tografskog fenomena sustava zvijezda. Usprkos izrazitoj per- se okvirno naslanja na neomarksisti~ke analize pojma ideo- tinentnosti fenomena zvijezde, njime se filmologija po~ela logije,5 potom na analize strategija gledateljske percepcije i sustavnije baviti tek 1950-ih. The announcement was made today by John Shaffner, ADG Council Chairman, and ADG Award Producers Dave Blass and James Pearse Connelly. “Jim Bissell’s work as a Production Designer is legendary and we are proud to rank him among the best in the history of our profession. He is an extraordinary artist and accomplished leader in the industry and it is our pleasure to name him as this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient,” said Shaffner. A veteran leader of the ADG, Bissell was a past Vice President and a Board member for more than 15 years. He also chaired the Guild’s Awards Committee for the first three years of its existence. Bissell’s distinguished work can be seen on such notable films as E.T. the Extra- Terrestrial (1982), which took home four Oscars® with an additional five Oscar® nominations in 1983; The Rocketeer (1991), Jumanji (1995), 300 (2006), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011) and most recently The Monuments Men (2014), directed by and starring George Clooney.
