Wan Azizah sympathises with Muhyiddin’s wife .com Aug 11, 2015 Radzi Razak

PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail expressed her sympathy with former deputy prime minister 's wife, Norainee Abdul Rahman, over the report that Norainee feared for her husband's fate after his sacking last month.

Saying that she knew Norainee during her time in the Welfare Association of the Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti), Wan Azizah said Norainee fared better, for her husband had not being detained by the authorities after his dismissal from the government.

"We used to be in Bakti together. Of course I sympathise with Norainee as an old friend.

"Norainee (photo) went through tough times (when Muhyiddin was sacked), but at least he is not charged with some offence," Wan Azizah told a press conference after launching the ': Perjuangan Diteruskan (1998-2015) coffee table book in Puchong last night.

She said this when asked about Muhyiddin's recollection in Kluang, , on Aug 2 that Norainee could not sleep after word spread that he would be arrested.

Wan Azizah, who is the MP for , said the she could sleep all right most of the time as she has already accepted the fate of her imprisoned husband .

"Thank God, I have accepted our fate. I can sleep most of the time as I am an ‘okay’ type. Only when the people come to visit us, I get a bit wary.

"Only when people came to visit that I am wary as they may be carrying ‘bugs’ (to tap or listen to the conversation)," she said.

Muhyiddin had on Aug 2 said he had to confront his successor over talk that he was about to be arrested, and that he could not sleep at night as his family was very worried after his sacking a week earlier.
