Welcome To McDonald’s® Hoop Time

Dear McDonald’s Hoop Time Coordinator,

Here we are again! We are ready for another incredible year of McDonald’s Hoop Time. I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on what was a record-breaking year in 2012! I am so proud to be a part of this exciting program and I’m extremely proud of what we all achieved in 2012!

Our first McDonald’s Hoop Time day was held on 18th April at Frankston with the Phillip District day & our final round robin day on 16th November at Mill Park with the Bundoora District day. In between this time, we had 570 schools participate, coordinated a total of 189 round robin days (including a record 56 District days linked in with SSV districts) comprising a total of a record 3,953 teams and broke 35,000 participants for the first time ever. Even more importantly, we introduced approximately 10,500 kids to the sport of basketball through our Rookies division! I am proud of how the program continues to grow into Country Victoria including new days at Moe & Wangaratta. We had a record 23 regional final days comprising 515 teams from all over the State and the best of the best made it through to our 4 State Grand Final days with the top 144 teams in Victoria vying for that all-important McDonald’s Hoop Time State Title. Our finals series concluded with an exciting opportunity for our final 2 Senior All Star Boys and 2 Senior All Star Girls teams: our 2 State Championship Final games were played prior to a Melbourne Tigers NBL game against the Cairns Taipans at the Cage on the 16th December. It was a great day and a wonderful atmosphere with two very competitive finals, especially in the boys, which went down to the wire and was won on the buzzer!

We had our McDonald’s Hoop Time Minis program continue in 2012. The program that began in 2009 and targeted Grade 1’s and 2’s (for further details on this program please go to page 20) saw 9 days held across 8 venues. In those days, we had 139 teams participate and approximately 1,200 kids taking part in the program. We are looking to build on this in 2013, as these kids are the future of McDonald’s Hoop Time!

We continued to build on the successes of 2011, and we achieved so much more than we could have ever hoped for knowing it would be year of plenty of disruptions to staff. Highlighted by our BIG move in June from our offices at MSAC into our new offices at the State Basketball Centre & the absence throughout the year at times of Hoop Time Administrator Leanne Del Toso, who continued in her role with the Australian Women’s wheelchair basketball team, the Australian Gliders. Leanne achieved her dream and made it into the squad to travel to London for the 2012 Paralympics. We were so proud of her achievements in making the squad and eventually walking away with a silver medal! Leanne also decided upon her return she would be leaving us to move into other roles and challenges and to continue developing her profile as a Paralympian and as a disability advocate. I would like to personally thank Leanne for her 5 years as the administrator of the program and for the 2 ½ years we worked together in achieving the results we achieved. She will always be a part of the Hoop Time family and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours!

This year also saw us have two interns throughout the year. We continued our relationship with Ballarat University and their Internship program for the 3rd year Sports Management students. This year, we had Zac Hedin on board from the end of July right through to the end of our finals series at the end of November. He was a valuable asset and assisted in many areas of the program. He learned a lot in his role and loved his time at Basketball Victoria. Also coming into the program for a 7-week stint was Richard Campbell. Richard came from Deakin University & took on Leanne’s role while she was away in London. I am very thankful to both these guys, as it relieved the growing pressure throughout the busiest time of the year for McDonald’s Hoop Time and we would not have achieved the results we saw without their contribution in 2012! Well Done guys!

I would like to thank all of our coordinators and supervisors for a terrific effort in 2012 and I sincerely hope that you all continue on in 2013. A thank you to McDonald’s for another great year of support and sponsorship, thank you to all the schools involved, in particular the teachers who work tirelessly to organise McDonald’s Hoop Time for their students, the coaches and parent helpers who the school on McDonald’s Hoop Time days and most importantly, to the many students who enjoyed their McDonald’s Hoop Time experience and ensure that the days continue to run.

This year, McDonald’s & Basketball Victoria celebrate 30 years of partnership. It is a very exciting time for everyone involved as we join in the year-long party and see even more kids becoming involved in basketball throughout Victoria, including for the first time ever, Regional Finals in Country Victoria!

Join us for another year in one of the best primary school based basketball tournaments in the country!

Chris Angus Hoop Time Participation Officer, Basketball Victoria

Welcome from our Partner

Hoop hoop hooray! McDonald’s and Basketball Victoria are celebrating 30 years of partnership in 2013 in what is one of the longest-standing sporting sponsorships in the state.

Since 1983, McDonald’s has been supporting the development of sporting talent through our relationship with Basketball Victoria. This year’s 30-year calendar is full of activity, with Australia’s own NBA star Andrew Bogut helping us to celebrate this special milestone.

McDonald’s Hoop Time is the cornerstone program of our partnership involving over 35,000 junior basketballers, and with the 2013 season commencing, it’s fantastic to see continual participation growth year on year.

Our relationship with Basketball Victoria over the last 30 years has offered many young junior athletes the stepping stone to play professional basketball on the world's sporting stage and McDonald's Hoop Time, alongside other grassroots activities, serve to teach all involved about the true spirit of sportsmanship.

Through McDonald's Hoop Time, we are committed to engaging Victorian kids in a friendly, safe and supervised environment, offering them the opportunity to learn valuable skills such as teamwork.

We would like to extend our thanks to the schools, teachers, coaches, parents and most importantly, the students who continue to enjoy being a part of McDonald's Hoop Time over the years.

We look forward to celebrating our 30-year anniversary in 2013 and hope that this year's program will inspire many more primary school children to unite and participate in the grassroots activities that attribute to an active and healthy lifestyle.

What Is McDonald’s® Hoop Time?

McDonald’s Hoop Time is a series of one-day basketball round robins held at local basketball stadiums around Victoria. With a 30-year history, the program offers children in Grade 3/4 (Junior) and Grade 5/6 (Senior) the opportunity to play in a fun inter-school competition with qualified referees and receive some great prizes along the way. Described as the “Twenty20 of basketball”, a game usually runs as 2 x 8 minute halves and provides plenty of fun and excitement in the shorter format. McDonald’s Hoop Time really is ‘Basketball For All’ and as a development program of Basketball Victoria, it caters for students at all levels of ability by having three different playing divisions. Schools do not have to exclude players because of lack of ability; therefore all players interested in basketball can experience the thrill of competing for their school against other schools, sometimes for the first time. All Schools are to arrive at their designated stadium on their allocated McDonald’s Hoop Time day at 9.15am to register their arrival. The day will conclude no later than 2.45pm. The program culminates at the end of the year in a Regional Finals Series and a State Grand Final Series. We invite your school to join in the fun of one of the best primary school based tournaments in the country!

McDonald’s® Hoop Time Entry Details

Entry Fees

Basketball Victoria has kept costs for McDonald’s Hoop Time 2013 to a minimum.

1 – 6 teams (Junior / Senior combined) $56.90 per team 7 – 12 teams (Junior / Senior combined) $46.30 per team 13 + teams (Junior / Senior combined) $42.60 per team District Days (Junior / Senior combined) $42.60 per team

AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT TO THE SCHOOL IN THE MONTH IN WHICH YOUR TEAMS ARE COMPETING. DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT AT THE VENUE OR BEFORE AN INVOICE HAS BEEN RAISED.

Round Robin Venues and Dates

Much of the success of the McDonald’s Hoop Time program is due to the co-operation and support from local stadiums. We have been able to secure the use of many courts, making the competition accessible to a greater number of schools.

An entry form has been sent with this booklet with a second form listing the details of the dates at all the Stadiums in 2013 and a list of which stadiums we are utilising in 2013. Every effort will be made to give schools dates that are originally requested; however, due to increasing entries for this program, new dates may be offered once original dates are full.

It would be greatly appreciated if schools can, where possible, request some of the early dates that are offered. These dates are often cancelled due to teams not being ready so early in the year and then an attempt is made to book new dates in Term 3. However, this in effect, overfills the number of round robin days run each week in that term and makes it extremely busy to fixture, book referees, employ coordinators, etc.

Please note that there will not be any round robin days held in Term 4. Due to the increased number of finals to be run, it will be impossible to fixture any more dates late in Term 3 than are already listed. However, if dates that are booked do not suit, it is possible to book alternate dates in Terms 2 & 3 at some venues. Please contact McDonald’s Hoop Time Staff at Basketball Victoria if you wish to attend on an alternate date to those already listed.

Confirmation of the date of your McDonald’s Hoop Time day at your local stadium will be faxed to you once entries have closed.

ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED A MINIMUM OF 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR REQUESTED DATE. Priority Entry Closes on Wednesday 29th May. Entries received after this date may not get their preference of venue or date.

Fixtures

Changes to your original McDonald’s Hoop Time entry will be accepted up until the fixture is released and sent out. Once fixtures have been released for a particular round robin day, any team withdrawals or changes that require a fixture change will incur a fee of $25 per team. Team withdrawals within 24 hours of the Round Robin tournament will result in the full price being charged.

It is extremely important to reply to receipted emails when asked, as this allows us to track who hasn’t received the information. This not only saves our time, but also yours and ensures that everyone receives necessary updates, including fixture changes when required.

McDonald’s® Hoop Time – Rules

PLEASE NOTE: THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CHANGES TO THE RULES FROM 2012. PLEASE READ THROUGH CAREFULLY & THOROUGHLY.

• All games will be fixtured for 2 x 8 minute halves unless otherwise stated. (Shortened games will be 1 x 13 minute games).

• It is imperative that games BEGIN ON TIME to enable the fixture to run to schedule, thus ensuring the day runs smoothly. The clock will be started at the scheduled time, with the late team receiving a ONE POINT PENALTY for each minute they are late. The McDonald’s Hoop Time Coordinator reserves the right to not penalise a team who may be running late due to circumstances outside their own control (e.g. accident). Schools are to call ahead if they believe they will be late for their first game. Not all circumstances will warrant leniency for being late.

• The clock will stop on all whistles in the last minute of the second half ONLY when the score margin is 5 points or less. (Clock will stop on all whistles in the last minute of the game if games are reduced to 1 x 13 minute if the score is 5 points or less).

• One 30-second timeout per team, per half will be allowed during which the clock will NOT stop, except in the last minute of the second half where the margin is 5 points or less. (One timeout per game, per team in a reduced 1 x 13 minute game).

• No timeouts will be allowed in the last minute of the first half or in the last minute of the second half if the clock does not stop. (No timeouts are allowed in the last 2 minutes of a reduced 1 x 13 minute game if the clock does not stop).

• The 2 rule will apply after 5 TEAM FOULS have been committed in that half. The 6th team foul will result in 2 free shots. The juniors will shoot from the modified foul line, which is the closer line and seniors will shoot from the regular foul line.

• A Player can only commit 5 personal fouls per game. On the 5th foul the player is to be removed from the game.

• 5 seconds in the key, centre line violation and 8 seconds in the back court all apply.

• Full court ‘Man to Man’ defence is compulsory in Senior All Star Boys & Senior All Star Girls sections in the first half ONLY (unless the mercy rule is being enforced). In the second half, teams can play any defence they wish. Teams in this section who deliberately play zone defence by not picking up a player each or drop back into the key in the first half will be penalised with a bench unsportsmanlike foul i.e. the opposition team will receive 2 free throws and possession.

• 3-point shots will only be awarded to children participating in the JUNIOR & SENIOR ALL-STAR BOYS OR GIRLS TEAMS. Junior & Senior Future Stars and Rookie teams will not be awarded 3- point shots.

• Mercy Rule: Mandatory 3-point line defence will be enforced when a team is leading by 20 points or more. The leading team must return beyond the 3-point line once possession is lost. The leading team cannot play defence outside of the 3-point line at any time. The ball will be returned to the offensive team immediately if they fail to comply.

• A forfeit will be called if a team does not show up by half time in any game (or by the 6 minute mark if playing 1 x 13 minute games). In the event of a forfeit, the score will be marked down as 8-0. If the team arrives after a forfeit has been called by the referee, they can play the remainder of the game but the score will stand as the forfeit score.

• The Future Star/Rookies leagues permits a ratio of 3:2 (boys/girls or girls/boys) on the court at any one time. If a team is not able to field 2 girls on the court at any time they must notify the McDonald’s Hoop Time Coordinator immediately. The opposition team will be allowed to play the same ratio as the offending team. If they are unable to do so, then the offending team must only play a ratio of 3 boys & 1 girl or 4 girls & 1 boy on court at any one time. The opposition team reserves the right based on their own team scenario to deny the request for a ratio change if it is in the best interest of their own players.

• Each team is to nominate 1 competent person to assist on the score bench for each game.

• Game results will be recorded on a modified scoresheet.

• Players’ names are not required on the scoresheet. Only the singlet number of each player is necessary. Two players in the same team are not allowed to wear the same number.

• Teams are only allowed to play a maximum of 10 players per McDonald’s Hoop Time day, including Regional & State Finals.

• It is the responsibility of the WINNING team to ensure that the score sheet is delivered PROMPTLY at the conclusion of each game to the McDonald’s Hoop Time Coordinator.

• Teams will be awarded 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw an 0 points for a loss.

• In the case of two or more teams being tied on equal points at the end of the day, ladder positions will be decided by the result of those teams’ head to head game (E.g. If Team A & B are both on equal points at the end of the day, the team that won the game played between these teams would finish higher on the ladder).

• Where this does not separate the teams, the overall percentage from all games played will be taken into account (this will most likely happen when there is a 3-way tie or if the head to head result between 2 teams was a draw).

• Drawn games will be accepted, except if playing in a final. Where a final game is drawn, an overtime of 3 minutes will be played. If there is still no winner, a shoot out will determine the result of the final.

• OVERTIME RULES – No timeouts will be awarded during extra time. Team fouls carry over from the second half. The clock will stop in the last minute on all whistles of the OT period if the score is 5 points or less. No substitutions in the last minute of OT unless the clock stops.

• SHOOTOUT RULES - Only the 5 players per team that are on the court at the end of extra time are eligible to participate in the shootout. The team listed first on the score sheet will shoot from the free throw line first. Teams will alternate free throws until all 5 players from each team have taken a free throw. If the scores are still tied after all 5 players from each team has shot, players resume from the start until one team scores and the other team misses.

• Numbered uniforms are required. Using tape for numbers is acceptable.

• Shorts should not have pockets in them. It is acceptable to have them sewn or taped up if these are to be used for playing in on the day.

Player Eligibility • McDonald’s Hoop Time has three levels of competition. For maximum enjoyment it is imperative that players and teams are graded correctly. • The players that participate in the Round Robin days within a particular team will be the same players that progress through to Regional Finals and beyond if their team wins a Round Robin Day or receives a wildcard into Regional or State Finals. • Players are not allowed to swap teams during or between Round Robin Days or Finals Series, unless the team must add a player or players to make a team due to medical reasons or circumstances outside of the school’s control. The school must seek permission from Basketball Victoria’s McDonald’s Hoop Time Office staff for the transfer of players from one team to another prior to the event. • Players playing for a school must be a current student at the school. No team is to play players that do not attend the school they are representing. If a player has played that is not a current student at the school, that team will forfeit all its points for the day.

Mixed Rookie Division Ø The Rookie League is for BEGINNERS ONLY (children who have never played basketball before or only for fun i.e. not in any current domestic program).

Future Stars Division – THE FOLLOWING RULES MUST BE ADHERED TO: Ø Schools should enter mixed teams of an INTERMEDIATE STANDARD (that is, children that play ANY level of domestic competition ONLY.) However it is preferred that strong or high level A Grade players still play in the All Stars Divisions if possible. Ø The following children are NOT allowed to compete in this section: o Any child that currently plays or has played representative basketball within the last 3 years – VJBL Victorian Junior Championship League, Victorian Junior League (Division 1, 2, 3 or 4) Regional League (East and North West). o Any child that has played in the All Stars Division in the same year.

Ø Basketball Victoria’s McDonald’s Hoop Time Staff have the right to grant eligibility to any player in the Future Stars division who throughout the year is graded into a Representative team after their initial Round Robin day and prior to or during the Regional or State Finals. Prior permission must be sought by the school’s Hoop Time representative to the BV Hoop Time staff PRIOR to the event if this does occur. BV Hoop Time Staff reserve the right to confirm any player’s playing status with the VJBL. Ø In the event a team plays a rep player in a tournament, the penalty on the day will be as follows: the team can either play the remainder of their games with the ineligible player in the side but not qualify for Finals, or they cannot play the rep player for their remaining games and still be eligible for Finals, but all previous wins with the ineligible player will be overturned and given as a 8-0 forfeit to the opposition. Ø In the event a team is discovered to have played an ineligible player after they have played in their round robin day, then any results that team had on the day will be overturned and, if they won the tournament, they will not progress through to Regional or State Finals. The team that came runner-up will take their place in the next round of competition.

All Stars Division Ø Schools should enter their BEST BOYS & GIRLS TEAMS in the All-Star League (regardless of whether they play representative or domestic competition) Ø There is a separate Boys and Girls section of the competition. Ø In the event where a school cannot fill an All-Star Girls team, one girl may play for the All-Star Boys team as long as this is verified with Basketball Victoria’s Hoop Time Office Staff prior to your event. Ø If a team is to field 2 girls in an All Star Boys team due to not having an AS Girls team, they must only be allowed to play one girl on the court at a time. Ø No more than 2 girls per ASB team will be allowed. Ø Boys are not permitted to play in any ASG side.

McDonald’s Hoop Time aims to have as many children participating in basketball as possible. Therefore, some leniency towards uniforms is shown to ensure schools that do not have uniforms available can still participate in the program.

Basketball Uniforms consist of 2 parts: shorts and top.

In regular competitions, all players in a team must have matching uniforms. All players must have the same colour shorts and tops and numbers must be displayed on both front and back of the tops. Should singlets not be available, PE polo tops are acceptable as long as they are all the same colour and have numbers on the back.

In McDonald’s Hoop Time, we will be enforcing the following uniform rules:

Shorts: Shorts as a rule, must not have pockets; this is dangerous and can cause serious injury.

Preferably, we would like to have teams in the same, if not similar-coloured shorts.

Tops: Tops must have at least a number displayed on the back of the uniform.

Tops must be the same colour.

(Numbers that can be used in basketball: 4-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45, 50-55).

Basketball Victoria Uniform Policy Changes

Basketball Victoria recognises that in circumstances where religious and cultural beliefs conflict with the standard dress code, that modification to the standard uniform may be required.

This may include, but is not restricted to the wearing of: - Traditional Muslim head scarf - Leggings or tracksuits to cover legs - Long sleeve tops to cover arms

Basketball Victoria requires that headscarves are permitted to be worn, as (by rule) they pose no threat of injury. This includes head scarves or other fabric articles worn for religious purposes held in place by bobby pins or snap clips.

It is recommended that the colours of headscarves or other garments should resemble the official colours of the association/club they are representing.

Basketball for ALL

Basketball Victoria is continuing its commitment to providing access and opportunities for ALL to be involved in the game of Basketball. Whether participating by playing, coaching, officiating, volunteering or administrating, you can enjoy this great game.

Basketball Victoria has recognised that not all people are the same, or need the same level of inclusion, so the ability to provide inclusive structured programs, in a suitable environment enables participation and the growth of the sport to continue.

In 2012, Basketball Victoria made over 50 visits to specialist schools to conduct clinics for students with mobility restrictions, intellectual disabilities, and those that are deaf or hard of hearing. Basketball Victoria also visited over 20 mainstream schools, conducting Wheelchair Basketball and awareness clinics to students of all ages.

If you have any students with special needs attending your school, be sure to find out more about the inclusive programs Basketball Victoria has on offer!

Wheelchair Basketball Clinics

Did you know you don’t need to be in a wheelchair on a permanent basis to play Wheelchair Basketball? You can play Wheelchair Basketball if you are unable to jump, pivot or run at a speed and with the control, safety and endurance of an able-bodied player.

Basketball Victoria is currently offering Wheelchair Basketball clinics to both specialist and mainstream schools in Victoria. Clinics consist of basketball skills and drills in a basketball-specific wheelchair and are conducted by Wheelchair Basketball coaches and athletes.

Games to teach Basketball Skills

Red Light, Green Light You Need: Skills taught: This develops dribbling skills. • 1 ball per player • Full or half court How the game works: Have all the players line up on the base line with a ball. Coach yells “green light” and players move forward as quickly as possible while dribbling the ball. When the coach yells “red light”, the players must stop and maintain their dribble. Send back to the start any player not dribbling in control.

Tip: In the ‘red light’ position, have the players assume a position with the left foot forward, left hand out protecting the ball, right foot back with right hand dribbling the ball waist high just in front of the right foot. (For an easy description, tell your players to “jump on their skateboards.”) Knees bent, with eyes on the coach.

Shuffle Pass Relay You Need: Skills taught: For players who have achieved some confidence • 1 ball per team in passing, the next step is to learn to pass and catch on the • Full court move. Use this game to teach the players to shuffle (not cross their feet), to keep a target for the passer and to stay low with knees bent.

How the game works: Divide the players into two equal teams. Each team will then divide into 2 lines and set up facing each other. The first pair in each line starts down the court throwing bounce (or chest) passes while shuffling down the court as fast as possible. Have the players both touch the end line and then return, passing the ball to the next pair in line.

Tip: Younger players will often travel with the ball before they can make the exchange from catching to throwing, but work towards improving this skill with older players. If you have a team that needs to “talk” more on the court, make them call out “ball” when they are ready to receive the pass.

Battle You Need: Skills taught: This drill helps with aggressive play to the ball • 1 ball and one-on-one skills. • Half Court

How the game works: Divide your team into 2 groups. Use only one end of the court and have the two teams line up on opposing sidelines. Spread them out evenly to start. Have the players number off so each side has a player 1, a player 2, etc. Place the ball at half court. The coach calls out a number “3!” and player 3 from each side sprints out to get the ball. The player that picks it up first is the offensive player and the other player assumes the defensive role. The offensive player then tries to score. If the defensive player steals the ball or gets a , they can attempt to score. Game is over after a score or each player has had an offensive attempt.

Tip: Mix this game up by calling out multiple numbers so players play 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 etc. With younger players, shrink the playing area by moving lines in several steps from the sidelines.

Inclusion in McDonald’s® Hoop Time

Basketball Victoria and McDonald’s Hoop Time are proud to acknowledge and support the inclusion of ‘All Abilities’ into our programs. We encourage all levels and abilities to participate in McDonald’s Hoop Time and we wish to promote further the development and inclusion of those with physical, intellectual and hearing impairments. McDonald’s Hoop Time works closely with the Inclusion Department in providing an equal opportunity to participate in mainstream programs, thus encouraging unity and equality within the Basketball arena.

In 2012, we had a number of special schools successfully participate in McDonald’s Hoop Time. In addition, 19 students from Heatherwood special development school helped in the running of one of our McDonald’s Hoop Time days out at Knox stadium to help them complete their Cert I in Sport & Recreation. We also had a number of participants competing with disabilities from mainstream schools.

We encourage all Special and Special Developmental Schools to get on board and participate in McDonald’s Hoop Time. If one or more children at your school has a disability and would like to participate in McDonald’s Hoop Time with their peers, please contact the McDonald’s Hoop Time staff so we can accommodate and make any necessary changes. Subsidies are available to schools and for more information please contact Chris Angus on (03) 9837 8084.

Aussie Hoops at your school!

The Aussie Hoops program is designed specifically for primary school children of ALL abilities. This is one of Basketball Victoria’s wide-range of programs that help to formulate pathways for children to begin and develop as basketball players.

Children develop their basketball and general motor skills through the “Game Sense” approach of modified drills and games. Aussie Hoops can be a great next step for children who have participated in a McDonald’s Skill, Fun & Play Clinic at school.

Basketball Australia, in partnership with Basketball Victoria and in conjunction with your local association, can offer the Aussie Hoops program to be held directly within your school. The program can be held either during school hours or in the after-school time- slot. Upon commencement of this program, your school will become a recognised “Aussie Hoops Centre.”

Program details: • Weekly program • 5 – 8 weeks • 45 – 60 minute sessions • Quality coaching • All participants receive a Basketball, Bag & Top

McDonald’s® Hoop Time Minis McDonald’s Hoop Time and McDonald’s Skill, Fun & Play have joined forces in the program called McDonald’s Hoop Time Minis. The initiative was created to provide Grade 1’s and 2’s with a unique, safe and fun learning experience where they can test out their basketball skills and be introduced to the sport in a supportive and non-competitive environment. McDonald’s Hoop Time Minis days are split into 2 sections. The morning session consists of McDonald’s Skill, Fun and Play skill development with qualified coaches encouraging kids to have a go and build their confidence in the areas of dribbling, passing and shooting. The afternoon session gives the kids an opportunity to put their newly-developed skills into practice in some fun games whereby team spirit and working together is promoted.

In 2012, we had approximately 1,200 kids go through the McDonald’s Hoop Time Minis program at 8 venues across Melbourne. McDonald’s Hoop Time Minis in 2013 will be available at select venues across Victoria to ensure all kids have an opportunity to get involved in Basketball.
