Reduced to ten men, they lost 2-1 in the Spanish capital before a 2-2 draw at the Juventus Stadium. • København, in only their third group stage campaign, lost 4-0 in Madrid on matchday two and were still without a win when they went down 3-1 in Istanbul. They got off the mark in the return against Galatasaray, Daniel Braaten firing the only goal. Previous meetings • Juve met Danish opposition in last season's competition, winning 4-0 at home to FC Nordsjælland with Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal, Sebastian Giovinco and Quagliarella all on target. They had previously drawn 1-1 in Copenhagen, Mirko Vučinić scoring. • Before those encounters Juve had faced only one Danish team, beating Hvidovre IF 7-4 on aggregate in the 1982/83 European Champion Clubs' Cup first round. After a 4-1 away win, the Turin return ended 3-3, Hvidovre scoring twice in the final seven minutes to snatch a draw. Michel Platini was on target in both games. • København have lost on both their previous visits to Italy, conceding five goals and scoring only one. Their only victory in five attempts, home and away, came in the Danish capital against SS Lazio, winning the 2001/02 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round first leg 2-1. They went down 4-1 in the return. Match background • Making their return to the competition last season after a three-year absence, Juventus reached the quarter-finals where they went down 2-0 home and away to FC Bayern München. The defeat ended Juve's run of six wins and five draws in 11 home European fixtures since Bayern won a matchday six encounter in December 2009; before last season's loss to Bayern they had won three successive home games after drawing 1-1 with FC Shakhtar Donetsk in their first European game at the new Juventus Stadium. • In their eighth successive European group stage campaign, København – exempt from the qualifying rounds for the first time – were last in the UEFA Champions League proper in 2010/11 when they finished second in their group behind FC Barcelona. • On their travels three years ago København won 2-0 at Panathinaikos FC, losing by the same score at Barcelona and 1-0 at FC Rubin Kazan. In the round of 16 they lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea FC, drawing 0-0 in the London return. • In last season's UEFA Europa League group stage, the Danish champions lost 1-0 away at FC Steaua Bucureşti, drew 0-0 at VfB Stuttgart and won 2-1 at Molde FK. Team ties • Olof Mellberg played for Juventus in 2008/09, scoring two goals in 27 Serie A games. He was a team-mate of Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Sebastian Giovinco, Marchisio and Paolo De Ceglie. • Mellberg played against Buffon and Andrea Pirlo as Sweden and Italy drew 1-1 in Porto in a group fixture at UEFA EURO 2004 on 18 June. • Chiellini scored the only goal as Italy defeated Mellberg's Sweden in a friendly international on 18 November 2009. • Kris Stadsgaard played for Reggina Calcio in 2007/08 while Daniel Jansen was at Novara Calcio in 2011/12. • Nicolai Jørgensen and Arturo Vidal played together at Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 2010/11. • Andrea Barzagli, Chiellini, Marchisio and Pirlo played against Lars Jacobsen as Italy defeated Denmark 3-1 in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Milan on 16 October 2012. • Lars Jacobsen was in the Danish side who drew 2-2 with an Italy team containing Buffon, Chiellini and Marchisio in a World Cup qualifier in October on 11 October. 3 Juventus - FC København Wednesday 27 November 2013 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Juventus Stadium, Turin Squad list 4 Juventus - FC København Wednesday 27 November 2013 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Juventus Stadium, Turin Head coach Antonio Conte Date of birth: 31 July 1969 Nationality: Italian Playing career: US Lecce, Juventus Coaching career: AC Siena (assistant), USD Arezzo, AS Bari, Atalanta BC, AC Siena, Juventus • A combative and versatile midfielder, Conte also weighed in with his share of goals – usually spectacular. • Made Serie A debut with hometown club Lecce aged 16 in 1985/86 but was not a regular until 1988/89 when his side returned to the top flight after two seasons away. Joined Juventus in November 1991. • Spent the next 13 seasons at Juve, later describing the famous black-and-white shirt as his "second skin". Won five Scudettos, the UEFA Champions League in 1995/96 and the UEFA Cup in 1992/93 in addition to triumphs in the UEFA Super Cup, Italian Cup and a European/South American Cup, wearing the captain's armband from 1996. Capped 20 times by Italy, he was part of the squads that finished runners-up at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2000. • Started coaching career as assistant at Siena in 2005, taking over Serie B side Arezzo the following season. After leading Bari and Siena to the top flight in 2009 and 2011 respectively, he signed a two-year contract with Juventus. • Wasted no time in revamping the squad and enjoyed a debut season to remember as the Bianconeri claimed the Scudetto without losing a single game, suffering their sole defeat of the season against SSC Napoli in the Coppa Italia final. After signing a new contract until 2015, he duly guided Juventus to a second successive title in 2013. Ståle Solbakken Date of birth: 27 February 1968 Nationality: Norwegian Playing career: Grue IL, Ham-Kam Fotball, Lillestrøm SK, Wimbledon FC, Aalborg BK, FC København Coaching career: Ham-Kam Fotball, FC København (twice), 1. FC Köln, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC • Discovered at lower-league Grue, Solbakken represented Ham-Kam but made his mark as one of Norway's finest midfielders at Lillestrøm between 1994 and 1997, earning the first of his 58 caps for Norway before an ill-starred move to English side Wimbledon. • A five-month Premier League spell ended with a switch to Denmark's AaB in 1998, where he got his career back on track, starring in the 1998/99 title success. He represented Norway at the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2000 prior to joining København for 2000/01. • His København playing career lasted just 14 league games before Solbakken suffered a heart attack in training on 13 March 2001; he was revived in an ambulance 12 minutes later. • With a pacemaker fitted he went into coaching with Ham-Kam before unexpectedly being named as Hans Backe's successor at København in 2005 by club chairman Flemming Østergaard, who has Solbakken's playing shirt hanging in his office. • The first of five title successes in his first season vindicated the decision, Solbakken also leading the club to the 2006/07 and 2010/11 UEFA Champions League group stage – reaching the round of 16 in the latter campaign – and the 2008/09 Danish Cup. After short, unsuccessful spells at Köln and Wolves, returned to København in August 2013 following Ariël Jacobs' dismissal. 5 Juventus - FC København Wednesday 27 November 2013 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Juventus Stadium, Turin Match officials Referee Jonas Eriksson (SWE) Assistant referees Mathias Klasenius (SWE) , Daniel Wärnmark (SWE) Additional assistant referees Stefan Johannesson (SWE) , Markus Strömbergsson (SWE) Fourth official Mehmet Culum (SWE) UEFA Delegate Scott Struthers (SCO) UEFA Referee observer Christakis Skapoullis (CYP) Referee UEFA Champions Name Date of birth UEFA matches League matches Jonas Eriksson 28/03/1974 24 85 Jonas Eriksson Referee since: 1988 First division: 2000 FIFA badge: 2002 Tournaments: 2014 FIFA World Cup, 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, UEFA EURO 2012, 2006 UEFA European Under- 19 Championship, 2003 UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup, 2002 UEFA European Under-17 Championship Finals N/A UEFA Champions League matches involving teams from the two countries involved in this match Stage Date Competition Home Away Result Venue reached 28/09/2010 UCL GS AS Roma CFR 1907 Cluj 2-1 Rome 14/09/2011 UCL GS Manchester City FC SSC Napoli 1-1 Manchester 28/03/2012 UCL QF AC Milan FC Barcelona 0-0 Milan 05/12/2012 UCL GS FC Shakhtar Donetsk Juventus 0-1 Donetsk

For more detailed factual information, and in-depth competition statistics, please refer to the matchweek press kit, which can be downloaded at: http://www.uefa.com/uefa/mediaservices/presskits/index.html Match background The stakes are high for FC København and Rosenborg BK as they meet in Group G on Matchday 4, with the Norwegian side in particular knowing that they are in the last-chance saloon when it comes to their hopes of reaching the Round of 32. • København were not in action on 27 November, but with just one point from their previous two games are level with Rosenborg at the foot of the section. However, they at least know that they will have some chance of qualifying on Matchday 5 – however slender – regardless of the result of the game against their Norwegian visitors. • Rosenborg have no such luxury, having matched their worst ever home defeat in European competition in losing 4-0 to Valencia CF last Thursday. This is their final Group G game, and anything other than a win would spell the end of their continental campaign for the season. • This will be København and Rosenborg's first meeting in European club competition.
