  • Love and Theft Join the Country Series at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City Friday, July 20 at 8 Pm
For Immediate Release LOVE AND THEFT JOIN THE COUNTRY SERIES AT HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO ATLANTIC CITY FRIDAY, JULY 20 AT 8 PM Atlantic City, NJ (July 27, 2018) – Country Fridays at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City continues this Friday night, July 20 at 8 p.m. with Love And Theft at Sound Waves along with special guest Hudson Moore. Select tickets are still available, but going fast, at hardrockhotelatlanticcity.com. Originally a trio that also included fellow singer-songwriter Brian Bandas, Love And Theft first galvanized fans in 2009 with their Top 10 hit “Runaway.” That breakthrough success set the stage for their debut album World Wide Open, which also produced the hit single “Dancing In Circles.” After a move from the Disney-affiliated Carolwood label to RCA, Stephen and Eric scored their first #1 single with “Angel Eyes,” which was featured on Love and Theft’s self-titled second album, along with the hits “Runnin’ Out of Air” and “If You Ever Get Lonely.” The longtime partners agree that their potent musical chemistry is a reflection of their personal rapport. “The thing about us,” Eric Gunderson asserts,” is that we really are best friends, and that’s helped to get us through the tougher times. At the same time, though, we’re different enough personality-wise that the combination works. Stephen Barker Liles’ naturally a more social person than I am, and I’m a little more introverted. He tends to see the best in every person and every situation, and I’m kind of the opposite.

Judas 17A 03/04/2006 11:05 pm Page 1 Judas! from Inside A Prune Hello everyone and welcome to issue 17, the second of 2006. For many of us, though, the year is only really beginning now that Dylan is off on tour again. The anticipation and curiosity about how this year’s live shows shape up is one thing, but the ever-increasing yearning for the new album is something else again. It promises to be an exciting year for Dylan fans yet again as he just keeps on giving; such stamina in someone about to reach the grand old age of 65. In expectation of a well-deserved, glorious celebration of the 40th anniversary of the release of Blonde on Blonde amongst both fan and mainstream media, I asked for contri- butions toward making this issue a celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of Desire so that it would not be forgotten in the Blonde on Blonde tribute deluge. So, you now hold in your hands a Desire themed issue and we thank Nick Hawthorne A. J. Iriarte, Lucas Stensland, Jonathan Shimkin and Peter Vincent very much for their responses to my request for such reflections. Anniversaries are all the rage in this editorial and issue. There is a five-year-later look back from myself on the Never Ending Tour in 2001. It seems extraordinary to me that this is already five years ago; can you remember when five years felt like a long time? When, for example, it could encompass everything from Bob Dylan to Blonde on Blonde.

Interviews fall through, promised art never arrives, computers act up – everything, it seems, that can go wrong does. This would be one ofE those issues. But, hey, you’re reading this, so it’s all worked out, right? After all, we’ve been doing this for better than 20 years now, and during that time we’ve learned that we can get through pretty much anything. Whatever it takes to bring you whatzup in northeast Indiana. It’s what we do. And so, here you are, checking out the area’s only arts and entertainment weekly, and within it you’re going to find more to see and do than you can possibly imag- ine. To begin with, there’s a little band by the name of Lynyrd Skynyrd playing the Foellinger at the beginning of September. Steve Penhollow profiles those Southern rock legends in our cover story on page 4. Penhollow also has an interview with another legendary southerner, Charlie Daniels, also playing the Foellinger at the beginning of September, on page 7. On page 8 you’ll find Mark Hunter’s piece on Zion Lion, the Kalamazoo reggae sextet that closes out the Botanical Roots sum- mer concert series on September 2. Amidst all that music, you’ll also find Dodie Miller-Gould’s preview of the Auburn Fall Collector Car Weekend, an event that draws car lovers from around the world to our little corner of it.
