V Celju, dne ________________ Podpis avtorja:_________________ Analiza okolja in možnih procesnih izboljšav avtomatiziranega sistema izposoje koles v Kranju Tematika diplomskega dela se nanaša na nove trajnostne tehnologije v prometu, ki z razvojem vse bolj razbremenjujejo okolje. Okoljevarstvena misel Berryja (1971), da planeta Zemlje nismo dobili od svojih staršev, ampak smo si ga sposodili od svojih otrok, bo navdih za raziskavo velikosti sistemov izposoje koles v slovenskih mestih s poudarkom na sistemu v mestni občini Kranj, kjer smo v raziskavo vključili tudi vzdrževalna dela, ki jih opravlja podjetje AMZS, poslovna enota Kranj. Velikost kranjskega sistema smo umestili na lestvico večletnega raziskovalnega projekta OBIS, kjer so raziskali več kot 50 optimiziranih sistemov za avtomatizirano izposojo javnih koles (angl. bike sharing; v nad. izposoja koles) v Evropi, na projektu pa je sodelovalo več kot 30 ljudi. Sistemi izposoje koles so postali prava modna muha in uspešno dopolnjujejo javni prevoz v skorajda vseh večjih evropskih in svetovnih mestih, prav tako pa se trend avtomatizirane izposoje koles širi iz večjih v manjša mesta. Izposoja je namenjena za krajše razdalje po mestu s ciljem zmanjšanja emisij, izogiba gneči, olajšanju potovanja, zmanjšanju hrupa in ugodnejšemu prevozu. Naraščajoč trend zapiranja mestnih središč za motorna vozila je še povečal povpraševanje po uporabi koles. Mestna občina Kranj je sistem izposoje koles zagnala meseca aprila leta 2017, na omenjenem primeru smo naredili študijo primerne velikosti ter analizirali delo, ki ga opravlja vzdrževalec. V uvodnem delu smo predstavili problematiko, določili cilje, predstavili okolje ter zastavili predpostavke in hipoteze. Do rezultatov smo prišli z znanstvenimi metodami dela in na njihovi podlagi oblikovali ugotovitve o velikosti sistema v Kranju in optimizaciji vzdrževanja. Analizirali smo vzdrževalni obhod, kako okolju prijazno je vzdrževanje in primerno velikost sistema v relaciji s populacijo v Kranju. V zaključnem delu smo na podlagi analiz predlagali možne optimalnejše rešitve in usmerili razmišljanje za prihodnost sistema Kr-s-kolesom v Kranju. Ključne besede: sistem izposoje koles, vzdrževalno vozilo, vzdrževanje, obseg sistema, emisije Environmental analysis and possible process improvements of the automated bike-sharing system in Kranj The subject of the thesis pertains to the new sustainable technologies in traffic which are relieving the environment more and more with its development. Wendell Berry’s (1971) environmental thought that we did not inherit the earth from our ancestors but borrowed it from our children will be our inspiration for the thesis research on the magnitude of a bike-sharing system in Slovenian cities, primarily focusing on the city of Kranj, whereby we will also include the research the maintenance work carried out by the Slovenian National Automobile Association (AMZS), branch office in Kranj. The size of the Kranj system will be placed on the scale of the OBIS multi-annual research project, which has explored more than 50 optimized bike-sharing systems in Europe, with more than 30 people participating in the project. Bike-sharing systems became a real fad that is favourably complementing public transport in almost every larger European and a world city. At the same time, an automated bike-sharing system is, in fact, spreading from larger to smaller cities. Bike-sharing is intended for shorter distances within the city that aims to reduce emissions, avoid crowds, relief the travel, reduce noise, and to travel favourably. Growing number of city-centres being closed for motor vehicles yet increased the bike-sharing demand. The Municipality of Kranj launched the automated bike-sharing system in April 2017. We have chosen that city to carry out the study on the suitability of their system size, as well as to analyse the work performed by the system maintainer. At the outset of the thesis, we will introduce the problem and environment, as well as set the goals, assumptions, and hypothesis. We will form our findings based on the results gained by using scientific methods of work. We will analyse the maintenance round and environmental friendliness of the maintenance system, as well as suitability of the system size when compared to the population in Kranj. At the closing part of the thesis, we will recommend solutions that are, based on the analysis, feasible and more optimal. Likewise, we will try to vision the future of the bike-sharing system called Kr-s-kolesom in the city of Kranj. In 2007, the concept boomed after the start of Vélib’ in Paris and Bicing in Barcelona and has now spread to many Eastern European countries, Asia and the Americas. We decided to this time make a very long e-update with two parts. First we provide an overview of recent developments and the current state of the art. At the end of the e-update we provide additional background information on the history of bike sharing (including an explanation of the first three generations of bike sharing), the fourth generation of bikesharing and the many different operators on the market. You might prefer to read that part first. In October 2015, the Customer Relations Department of Cyclocity – JCDecaux's bicycle hire service – won the Customer Service of the Year award for 2016 in the "Individual Transport" category, a testament to an effective organisation and the excellence of its services. Building on this success, JCDecaux, which strives to anticipate the needs of cities and their inhabitants, continues to be innovative. Its self-service electric bikes with a lightweight portable battery (e-bikes) were launched in April 2015. From 30 November to 13 December 2015, during the COP21 (of which JCDecaux was an official partner) a positive energy station equipped with 30 e-bikes was exhibited in Paris, allowing users to test the benefits of this new soft, urban and shared mode of transport.

    JCDecaux: 200 million self-service bicycle rentals worldwide Paris, September 29, 2011 - JCDecaux SA (Euronext Paris: DEC), the world’s No.1 outdoor advertising company and No.1 in self-service bicycle hire, announces that it has achieved a total of 200 million self-service bicycle rentals since the launch of its bicycle hire schemes in cities worldwide. After eight years’ international experience, the 47,000 bicycles provided by JCDecaux for self-service rental and their 3,800 docking stations have been selected by 67 cities in 10 different countries in Europe, and Asia-Pacific. JCDecaux pioneered this form of individual public transport, installing its first bicycles in Vienna (Austria) in 2003. Since then, the group’s self-service bicycle rental schemes, which are in most cases part of the street furniture provided to cities that grant JCDecaux advertising rights, have been updated in line with users’ expectations (e.g. bicycles with stronger baskets, 3- or 7-speed gears, more comfortable saddles, etc.) and have now achieved this record-breaking number of rentals. Since 2010, all users around the world have been able to access the AllBikesnow service, a free application that can be downloaded to iPhone and Android devices, providing subscribers with access to a wealth of information about the availability of bicycles, the location of docking stations, and updated account details. These 200 million rentals reflect the growing enthusiasm of city-dwellers for this eco- friendly means of transport, a trend confirmed by the average rental growth rate between the 1st half of 2010 and the 1st half of 2011: + 20% (adjusted to account for the increase in the number of cities using these schemes).
