PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK!

Although we all intend to stay organized with our laptop folders, over the years items occasionally are placed outside those folders. The directions above showed you how to move all of the necessary folders, but it is always best to double check outside the folders for items that you do not want to lose.

Click on your home folder (house icon) and look for any items in the window outside of the folders (desktop, documents, library, movies, music, pictures, public, and sites). If there are any items you need, drag those to your storage device.

In addition, click on HD in your sidebar and look for items in the window outside of those folders (applications, library, system, users, user guides). If there are any items you need outside those folders, drag those to your storage device.

You do not need to move or backup applications or this library information.
