Public Agenda Item No. 7(c) DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL CABINET 4 April 2017 Report of the Strategic Director – Economy, Transport and Communities ECONOMY, TRANSPORT AND COMMUNITIES DEPARTMENT’S SERVICE PLAN 2017-18 APPENDICES: CAPITAL PROGRAMMES (HIGHWAYS, TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE) (1) Purpose of Report To seek Cabinet approval for the Economy, Transport and Communities Department 2017-18 highways and transport capital programmes. (2) Information and Analysis At its meeting of 14 March 2017, Cabinet considered a report relating to the approval of the departmental Service Plans 2017-18 and associated budgets. The Economy, Transport and Communities (ETC) Department’s Service Plan was approved, but without the appendices that set out the associated highways and transport capital programmes to deliver the Service Plan priorities, as set out below: • Local Transport Plan (LTP) (Highways Maintenance Block and Integrated Transport Block) Capital Programme - £20.518m • Pothole Action Fund Programme - £1.462m • National Productivity Investment Fund Programme £3.581m • Highways Maintenance Incentive Fund Programme - £1.580m • Public Service Agreement (PSA) Reward Grant: Casualty Reduction Programme - £0.500m • Accelerated Maintenance Programme - £7.000m Total £34.641m Cabinet is requested to approve the ETC Department’s 2017-18 highways and transport capital programmes as set out in the appendices to this report submission. (3) Financial Considerations Direct grant allocations from the 2017-18 LTP Highways Maintenance Block, Pothole Action Fund and the National Productivity Investment Fund have been confirmed by the Department for Transport (DfT) in its ‘Roads Funding: Information Pack’ (January 2017). The National Productivity Investment Fund is a new grant fund for local highway H:\H9\Cab1104.doc 1 4 April 2017 Public and other local transport improvements which aim to reduce congestion at key locations and upgrade or improve the maintenance of local highway assets to improve access to employment and housing; to develop economic and job creation opportunities. -

Mrs E Richards Children sometimes got into mischief. Bill tells how he and one of his brothers decided to steal a swede from a neighbour's garden. One of our members, Mrs Richards, has sent in some memories of her husband Bill, now aged 77, who was brought up in the The first one they pulled up was too small - so they put it back in terraces on Spital Lane. Add to that the success just announced of our application to Awards for All which now enables us to enter the digital age for our talks, to enhance our displays at exhibitions and to print the 2008 Journal this autumn, and we can be excused a brief smile without feeling too smug.
