Last update October 4, 2018 Acceptable Forms of Photo ID for Voting for Wisconsin College & University Students

You may present one of the acceptable photo IDs on the right when casting a ballot in Wisconsin.

If you do NOT have one of the acceptable forms of ID pictured above, you may use a school-issued student or voter ID if it meets the criteria to the right and is accompanied by a proof of enrollment document (hard copy or electronic) when presented at the polls.

If you DO NOT have either one of the acceptable IDs pictured above right or a voter ID compliant school- issued ID you may:

* Apply for a free Wisconsin ID at your local DMV center (but you will have to surrender your out-of- state driver license if you have one in order to get a DOT-Issued Wisconsin ID card).

* If from out-of-state, vote with an absentee ballot in your home state.
