In the early 1920’s she won a national beauty contest (organised by the Daily Mail?)” By then the family had retired and removed to Redlands, Bristol COUNTY LIBRARY Neyland on Old Postcards. Fenton describes Neyland in 1810 and Samuel Lewis describes rural Llanstadwell in1833. Hazelbeach mill was once owned by W Robertson of Hazel Hill House. (see above sale by order of High Court judge. The corn mill (or does he mean only the steam mill? was there no earlier mill? there was certainly a mill pond; did a steam mill need this?) Mill House was puchased by a grocer and businessman from Neyland named Rees whose son Noel and daughter-in-law Brenda live there. PEMBROKESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL INFORMATION TO COUNCIL TAXPAYERS ON PLANNED EXPENDITURE AND COUNCIL TAX LEVEL IN 2020-21. The costs of the services administered by the County Council are shown below. The Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Town and Community Councils independently determine their own expenditure levels and resultant levies and precepts. Local Government Finance Settlement: The Standard Spending Assessment (the need to spend), calculated by the Welsh Government, is £247.6m which compares to the net Council expenditure of £235.5m shown below. Capital Investment: A programme of capital investment totaling £71.3m is planned for 2020-21, including slippage from previous years. This may be added to if additional funding approvals are received in the year. Financial Reserves: Revenue reserves – It is estimated that the Housing Revenue Account working balance (£0.7m) and the General Fund working balance (£7.0m) will remain unchanged during 2020-21. Included in the net expenditure of the County Council Services set out below are the planned net appropriations to reserves of £3.5m earmarked for specific purposes. Planned Revenue Expenditure: The revenue budget as summarised below may be added to if additional funding approvals are received in the year. In addition, I would also like to request a complete list of private roads and highways within the Borough. Finally, if available, I would like a list of roads and property maintained by Network Rail within the Borough. Response: Please see the attached excel spreadsheet for list of highways. Section 21 - Accessible by other means In accordance with Section 21 of the Act we are not required to reproduce information that is ‘accessible by other means’, i.e. the information is already available to the public, even if there is a fee for obtaining that information. We have therefore provided a Weblink to the information requested. • https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/highways-development/highway-records Once on the webpage click on ‘local highways search service’ The highway register is publicly available on OS based plans for viewing at the office or alternatively the Council does provide a service where this information can be collated once the property of interest has been identified. A straightforward highway limit search is £18 per property, which includes a plan or £6 for an email confirmation personal search, the highway register show roads under agreement or bond. With regards to the list of roads and properties maintained by Network Rail we can confirm that Pembrokeshire County Council does not hold this information.

In September 2013, the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013 (the Act) came into force. This was the first piece of legislation affecting the Commission for over 40 years and reformed and revamped the Commission, as well as changing the name of the Commission to the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales. The Commission published its Council Size Policy for Wales’ 22 Principal Councils, its first review programme and a new Electoral Reviews: Policy and Practice document reflecting the changes made in the Act. A glossary of terms used in this report can be found at Appendix 1, with the rules and procedures at Appendix 4. PLANED: Natural Capital Audit West Wales Biodiversity 2008 1 APPENDIX 1: Farmer Profiles Intensive farmers (dairy) Farmer 1 Farm 1 supports 3 sons as well as parents, and therefore on a farm of 430 acres (plus 170 acres of rented land), diversification has been necessary. They own an agri-contracting business and permit shooting walks on the farm. They are milking over 150 cows, and grow arable crops on their land: 46 acres of maize and 230 acres of corn. They are currently not in any agri-environment scheme other than a Catchment Sensitive Farming project: Deep Ford Brook project. However, he says that again, this brings with it more red tape: he can now not increase stock numbers, and believes this is just another way of getting information regarding fertiliser usage: “it is just NVC through the back door”. Farmer 1 adds that “a stocking rate of 1 cow per acre has been pushed by the government over the past 40 years” and therefore, due to financial reasons, they cannot justify any management regulations placed on their productive grazing land.
