Schurz Library, IUSB Gary Charbonneau to Retire Twitter Gary Charbonneau, Associate Librarian, has announced his retirement from the IU Facebook Page Libraries and his position as Systems Librarian in Library Technologies; his last official day at IU will be February 1, 2017. He joined the Libraries in 1978, first as a support HathiTrust Digital Library Monthly Newsletters staff in serials, and eventually working in Library Automation, Library Information Technology, and LIbrary Technologies. Having worked at IU for nearly 40 years, Gary Herman B Wells Library, IUB has done extensive work within the IU Libraries for automation and discovery including Flicker work to help implement our current Integrated Library System, SirsiDynix Symphony, as Facebook Page well our first automation system, Biblio-techniques, and our second automation system, NOTIS. In the last decade Gary was an integral part of the operational workflow for the IU East Campus Library HathiTrust Digital Library for the IU Libraries.. This includes work on identifying content Facebook Page from the IU collection development plan for inclusion in the digitization process of the IU Northwest Campus Library collection. Gary served as the IU lead with Google and the University of Michigan in Twitter implementing the HathiTrust digitization workflow process that sent content from Facebook Page Bloomington to Ann Arbor for more than three years. Additionally, Gary served on the HathiTrust User Support Working Group-Bibliographic Corrections Team that supports IUPUI University Library Center HathiTrust help desk operations from its inception until his retirement. Gary earned his for Digital Scholarship MLS from Indiana University in 1978 and his MA in history from Kansas State University Twitter in 1974. Gary has served on various committees for the BLFC, most recently on the Maurer Law Library, IUB Budgetary Advisory Committee, as well as on other national groups such as CONSER Twitter and regional library groups such as InULA.
