FOX PER CURIAM [¶1] ElWood FoX appeaLs from a judgment of the District Court (PortLand, Cashman, J.) granting Karen FoX’s motion to enforce the provision of the parties’ divorce judgment requiring ElWood to pay toWards his chiLdren’s coLLege expenses. In a separate motion, Karen has requested attorney fees for a frivoLous or contumacious appeaL. See M.R. App. P. 13(f). We affirm the judgment, and We grant Karen’s motion for attorney fees. A. Motion to Enforce [¶2] The parties were divorced in June 2010 by an agreed divorce judgment (Oram, M.), which incorporated a separate settLement agreement. The settLement agreement contains a provision under the heading “CoLLege Expenses” that states: 2 Beginning May 1, 2010, ELWood shaLL contribute the sum of $750 per month into a coLLege fund(s) for the chiLdren’s benefit. He shaLL provide proof of such contributions to Karen by June 1st of each year. ElWood and Karen agree to communicate and cooperate in assisting the chiLdren in the selection and financing, to the best of their respective abiLities, of their post-secondary education institutions and programs. [¶3] The amount of the monthLy obLigation refLects the fact that ElWood is a physician who is more abLe than Karen to contribute to their chiLdren’s coLLege eXpenses.     As early as 1836, Salmon P. Chase joined the battle to abolish slavery. His beliefs propelled him into national politics, although more than two decades passed before the mood of the nation was receptive to the ideals he expressed in his early years in Cincinnati. The I first winner of the new Republican party, Lincoln was so little known that the nation felt an overpowering curiosity about what sort of man he was. The New York Herald and other Democratic newspapers made a "contribution" to the public's knowledge by printing a speech allegedly delivered by Lincoln to a Negro audience in Cincinnati in 1845. The speaker claimed that black Ameri- cans were the natural equals of whites, denounced as undemocratic the laws and customs that denied them equality, and received an engraved silver pitcher saluting his services to the race. Among those who read this radical oration was a Democratic legislator from Mississippi, William C. Smedes of Vicksburg. In an angry letter to Henry Jarvis Raymond of New York, Republican national chairman, Smedes declared that the holder of such views should be struck dead by lightning as "a just punishment from an offended diety." Raymond forwarded this missive to Lincoln, who repudiated the speech as "a forgery out and out.... I was never in a meeting of Negroes in my life; and never saw a pitcher presented by anybody to anybody."' The actual speaker and recipient of the pitcher on that occasion was not Lincoln but a Cincinnati attorney named Salmon Portland Chase.

I wanted to note how the MKB started . Back in summer of 2008 , it was noticed by our ANNIE that there is a lull in horse racing interest between the Breeders Cup races and the Kentucky Derby . What better way to continue sharing our horse racing passion, interaction and dialog with our Formblog friends by offering an activity to bridge that gap. How about a ‘Kentucky Derby prospect’ to follow along the preps and races leading up to the Kentucky Derby in May ? GENIUS! That concept became what is now the MKB. It can only be found here at Dan Illman’s Formblog. The first year was for the 2009 Kentucky Derby and now seven years later it is still as popular and going strong. Each year we have new people visiting and participating at Dan’s Formblog. Here is a Nov 2014 post and explanation from Annie : I suppose I should explain the MKB for the newcomers. Like every year, someone is sure to ask "What is the MKB?" :) MKB stands for Magic Kleenex Box. It's named for the box in which the names of promising two-year-olds will be placed next month. On December 14th, one of these horses will be drawn for each Formblogger who signs up for the MKB. That horse will become that person's own special horse to follow along the Derby Trail.

The horse sale is one block east of Hwy 37 on left. There is a pasture to the right in which trucks and trailers may park. Please do not block the gas pumps. This may sound a little country, but it's not that bad. Just make yourself at home. This is just a down home and family atmosphere.
