Herriot Hospice Homecare recently announced an important partnership, which sees the charity develop and improve end of life care for people in Thirsk and surrounding areas, thanks to the support of Thirsk-based League of Friends of the Lambert Hospital.

New Catterick store open

This Spring Herriot Hospice Homecare opened its latest store in Catterick Garrison, Kathryn Harrison, Head of Retail at Herriot, Richmondshire. said: “It costs the charity £1million each year to support local families, with services which include end of life care, bereavement support, befriending, respite support and driving services. “Our shops account for a third of this income so we are delighted to have been able to open our seventh shop in such a thriving community as Catterick Garrison. “In keeping with the other Herriot shops, it has a boutique feel and we are confident it will appeal to all members of the public. “The stock will be changed regularly, and we are always on the lookout for new, good quality donations.”

The shop, which is situated at 52 Richmond Road, in the former HM Supplies store (opposite the Princes Gate Retail Park), was officially opened by Lieutenant Colonel Joe Jordan, the Catterick Garrison Commander. Among the goods on display on the first day were designer fashion brands such as Ted Baker, Radley, Guess, Viyella and Hackett London while homewares included Royal Doulton china and Poole Pottery.
