For Immediate Release BLINK-182 HEADS TO HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO ATLANTIC CITY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 AT 7 PM Atlantic City, NJ (July 23, 2018) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City welcomes pop- punk rockers blink-182 to Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena on Friday, September 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on-sale this Friday, July 27 at 10 a.m. “We are always stoked to get back on the road and play for our fans” say blink-182. “We’re looking forward to playing really fun shows for you all.” Since their humble beginnings twenty-five years ago, when they started playing in a San Diego garage, blink-182 has sold over fifty million albums worldwide and rocked audiences from Adelaide to Zurich having become one of the defining rock bands of their generation. They combine high-energy dynamics with an artistic ambition that transcends any genre. Now with Matt Skiba (of Alkaline Trio) as singer/guitarist, the group has entered a new chapter. Early in 2016, Skiba finally entered the studio with bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker. Although the band had written more than 30 songs in the months before the sessions, once they started working with producer John Feldmann, they soon discarded all the old material and California was born. While blink-182 has already racked up more than their fair share of platinum records and blockbuster singles, Hoppus emphasized, "We're not just a greatest-hits band, although we will play the hits. Blink is alive and well and we're excited about doing cool new stuff.” According to The New York Times, "No punk band of the 1990s has been more influential than blink-182.” Tickets for blink-182 ranging from $39.00 to $59.00 go on sale this Friday, July 27 at 10 AM.

  • PLUS FORTY FOUR (+44) by Neelofer Lodhy, Managing Editor
~ ________ Issue ~ http://www.elsegundousd.com/eshs/bayeagle0607/NovembeP24PlusFor... PLUS FORTY FOUR (+44) by Neelofer Lodhy, Managing Editor After a long desperate wait, fans have anxiously been waiting to go out and buy the Plus Forty Four album, and it's finally here! Since the indefinite hiatus of popular punk band blink-182 occurred, former band members, Travis Barker (drummer) and Mark Hoppus (lead vocals, bassist) formed the band Plus Forty Four. While Tom Delonge, also a former member of the band, formed Angels and Airwaves. The album hit stores on November 14, 2006, by the name of When Your Heart Stops Beating, and the band has signed with Interscope records. Many fans were disappointed and hurt by the uncalled for break up of one of the most popular bands in the world, blink-182. It had been a while since we had heard from either of the band mates, only that the band was on an indefinite hiatus. While Tom Delonge went to go form Angels and Airwaves, Barker and Hoppus went their separate ways and formed Plus Forty Four. Plus Forty Four band members include Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and guitarists Shane Gallagher (from the band the Nervous Return), and Craig Fairbaugh (from the Mercy Killers, and two other bands). Back around February, Plus Forty Four had released the song No It Isnt featuring original band member Carol Heller from the band Get the Girl who’s additional vocals are included in the song Make You Smile, but by summer 2006 she decided to leave the band, because she felt it was necessary to spend sometime with her family.

  • Amy Shark Releases Latest Single 'C'mon' Feat. Travis
AMY SHARK RELEASES LATEST SINGLE ‘C’MON’ FEAT. TRAVIS BARKER ‘C’MON’ IS AVAILABLE NOW Australian singer-songwriter, Amy Shark has released her brand new single, ‘C’MON’ feat. Travis Barker via Wonderlick Recording Company/Sony Music Entertainment Australia/RCA Records. ‘C’MON’, is the second release from Shark this year and the latest taste of new music from her forthcoming sophomore album. ‘C’MON’ feat. Travis Barker is Amy reaching out for help and forgiveness, while trying to become the best version of herself. It details the extreme highs and the painful lows that come with being a musician, meticulously written with so much honesty. Amy draws on her Punk roots but with an Indie Pop sensibility that will have you singing along instantly. Produced by long time collaborators, Dann Hume & M-Phazes, Amy reached out to Travis Barker after developing a strong relationship with the band Blink-182 over the years and follows her previous collaboration with Mark Hoppus on Gold accredited ‘Psycho’ (LOVE MONSTER). When asked about the collaboration Amy said, “It’s quite surreal to have the drummer from one of my all-time favourite bands playing on one of my songs. It didn’t take much convincing for him to jump on board. He genuinely loved the song and took ‘C’MON’ to another level!” The cinematic video for ‘C’MON’ which features Travis Barker and brings the song to life was directed by ARIA award winning director, James Chappell. The video is out now – watch it HERE. ‘C’MON’ feat. Travis Barker follows Amy’s first single from her sophomore album, ‘Everybody Rise’, which spent 12 weeks in the top 10 Australian airplay chart, has been streamed over 14 million times and is accredited Gold.

  • Marry Me, Mark Hoppus
Marry Me, Mark Hoppus Vanessa Mancos When I was thirteen I was a Dork with a capital D. I know, I know; everyone says that about themselves, but I really was. I enjoyed spending my weekends doing things like making elaborate scrapbooks and watching old movies with my parents. My looks didn’t help my case either. After my Literature class finished reading “The Diary of Anne Frank” kids took to yelling “Holocaust!” when I passed them in the halls (because I was so skinny, not because I committed atrocities against humankind). A group of girls in my French class voted me “Most Immature.” For no reason. It wasn’t school wide Mock Elections or Blink-182 anything. It was just, like, a vote that they held privately and then decided it’d be cool to “Feeling This” share aloud. God, teen girls are such bitches. So who could blame me for seeking out an escape where no one would judge me, or make fun of me, or hold a vote on how much I Blink-182 sucked? And I found it, in the unlikeliest of places: the catchy pop pseudo-punk tunes of 11/2003 Blink-182. Geffen I first heard “Feeling This” on the radio. For whatever reason, Tom DeLonge singing about the moments before, during, and after sex with a woman he’s romantically involved with spoke to me. Sure, I was a virgin who’d never had a boyfriend but I wanted somebody to feel the same way about me that Tom felt about that girl.
