This ofice announces the conduct of the Secondary School Heads' Socialization and Team Building Activities on December 29,2018 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Blue Waters Resort, Panglao, Bohol. 2. The activity aims to motivate the educational leaders through a series of planned enriching activities. 3. Participants to this activity are as follows: @ ASSISTANT SCHOOLS DIVISION SUPERINTENDENTS @ CHIEFS-CID & SGOD @ EDUCATION PROGRAM SUPERVISORS @ SDO SECTION HEADS @ SECONDARY SCHOOL HEADS 4. A registration fee of Php 650.00 shall be collected from each participant to cover expenses for venue, food and materials which shall be charged against School/Division MOOE while other incidental expenses will be charged against other school funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 5. School administrators will have a pre-registration on or before December 6 & 7, 2018 at the SDO Cashier c/o Mr. Victor Cimeni. 6. For the success of this gathering, Secondary School Heads' ATTENDANCE is a MUST. 7. For the information, guidance and compliance of all concerned. 8.     ecosystems and natural resources “Live off the interest, don’t mine the capital.” Bohol is considered as one of the few provinces in the country that still has some of its diverse ecosystems left in reasonable condition. Its varied ecosystems are home to both migratory and endemic wildlife species. Bohol’s freshwater, beach, mangrove, coral reef, and open-water ecosystems are intricately tied culturally, economically and ecologically with the life of the Boholano people. This chapter provides a description of the ecosystems and natural resources of Bohol as a basis for understanding how to manage them. Chapter 2 Figure 2.1. Map of river networks and watershed areas in Bohol 18 Bohol Island: Its Coastal Environment Profile FRESHWATER ECOSYSTEM There are eleven major rivers in Bohol fed by hundreds of tributaries emanating from the upland watersheds. The major river systems include the Wahig-Inabanga River (Inabanga), Ipil River (Trinidad), Soom River (Ubay), Caru-od River (Candijay), Lumbay River (Anda-Guindulman), Manaba River (Garcia Hernandez), Loboc River (Loay-Loboc), Panampan River (Dimiao), Abatan River (Cortes-Maribojoc), Moalong River (Loon) and Alejawan River (Duero). Bohol has three major watersheds, all of which have been declared as protected areas under the National Integrated Protected Area System (NIPAS). These are the Wahig-Inabanga Watershed, Loboc Watershed and Duero Watershed. The Wahig-Inabanga Watershed covers two watershed projects of the DENR, namely, the Bohol Watershed Reforestation Project (BWRP) in Dagohoy and Wahig-Pamacsalan Watershed Reforestation Project (WPWRP) in Pilar.

Proponents India and the Philippines. Executive summary · The Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) is widely but apparently patchily distributed in warm tropical waters (excluding the Mediterranean) worldwide. The species is a plankton feeder, bears live young, and is the largest fish in the world (attaining up to 20 m in length and 34 t weight). · R. typus is classified as Vulnerable by IUCN (http://www.redlist.org), based on past records of declining catches and abundance during and following targeted fisheries and in some unfished areas, likely slow recovery rates (by analogy with other shark fisheries), and the potential for similar declines to occur in future due to new and continued targeted and by-catch fisheries. · Large sharks have K-selected life histories that make them especially vulnerable to exploitation: slow growth rate, reaching sexual maturity only after taking many years to attain a very large size, a long interval between pregnancies, and probable small populations. However, R. typus is poorly studied and many aspects of its life history remain unknown. · All well-documented fisheries for large sharks have collapsed after relatively few years of intensive exploitation, with stock declines persisting long -term and recovery not occurring until decades after exploitation has ceased. Where data are available, fisheries for R. typus also indicate significant stock reductions occurring after only a few years. · Traditionally, whale sharks were hunted for their liver oil, used for waterproofing traditional wooden boats.
