Every student is expected to be a tithe paying member of a local church during their attendance at Treign Bible College. Church membership is part of the training regimen of the Bible school and it is taken seriously. That membership does not have to be at Lake Church but must comply with a church persuasion that is not a cult or of any fringe group but of mainline Christian beliefs among reputable denominational and independent churches. 2. Every student shall not be the user of alcohol, pornography, tobacco or related products, or involved in any immoral conduct while attending Treign Bible College. It is the expectation of Treign Bible College that no Christian should be involved in any of these practices in their lives in any way as a lifestyle. Egregious violation of moral example can be a basis for dismissal from Treign Bible College. 3. Students are expected to be serious with their education and training at Treign Bible College and therefore will be expected to meet their financial obligation with respect to tuition and fees, attend classes regularly and be engaged in the process during attendance. Students have the privilege to work with others to achieve their academic goals as permitted by an instructor, and they also have the benefit of conferring with the Dean and/or Treign administrators in case of financial hardship during their tenure at Treign Bible College. 4. Each student is expected to follow a reasonable moral conduct of behavior with other students and with faculty, remain respectful, and submit to authority. Each student should also maintain an example of moral character. The student has every right to be treated fairly and with respect as well from faculty, staff, and administrators of Treign Bible College and of Lake Church. 5. Each learner must be ready to complete each course with determination and that includes completing all assessment and evaluation requirements such as exams and worksheets 7 in a timely manner and according to the guidelines stipulated by the instructor of that course and the overall policy of Treign Bible College. Therefore, lateness of submission should be avoided at all cost except for extraordinary circumstances when this is not possible and such occasions should be made aware to the instructor and/or to the administrators of Treign Bible College. 6. Students are expected to maintain a commitment to their study that does not involve cheating, plagiarism, or turning in work that is not of their own origin. Any collaborative educational process during a course must have been authorized by permission of the instructor. Other than that, each student must only turn in work that is of their own and not someone else. 7. Students can expect a certain level of understanding from faculty to allow them to pursue their education with consideration of other adult responsibilities that can be a challenge for non-traditional students. Therefore, Treign Bible College instructors and administrators will always work with students to make their educational experience at Treign Bible College both enjoyable and convenient. 8. Any complaints should be brought to the Dean directly. Complaints and protest not dealt with in an orderly & respectful manner will result in punishment as seen fit by the Dean. 9. Enrollment at Treign Bible College may be ended if there is a reasonable and determined opposition of that enrolment by a spouse or responsible family member who has authority over that student. 8 Third Year Courses Collaborative instruction from various ministers in the Treign network Separate application along with Pastoral recommendation letter required Each third year student will choose their major course of study for the year, and will also be required to take the following courses: Treign I and II, Family and Ministry, Spirit Lab I and II, and Preaching Lab I and II. Major courses of Study Missionology/Evangelism (Bob Haase) Teaching Ministry Pastoral Ministry Prophetic Ministry Apostolic Ministry Healing Ministry 9 TENETS OF FAITH. Lake Church (Parent Organization to Treign Bible College), accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed Will of God, the all-Sufficient rule of faith and practice for the purpose of maintaining general unity. Section 1. The Scripture Inspired The Bible is the inspired Word of God, revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason (II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12). Section 2. The One True Godhead The triune Godhead is comprised of 3 separate and distinct personalities: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed, and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Section 3. Man, His Fall and Redemption Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our Likeness.” But, man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his hope of redemption is in Christ, the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12- 21). Section 4. The Salvation of Man (a) Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (Psalm 103:3), being justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For by grace we are saved through faith. ”The Word is near you, in your mouth 10 and in your heart; that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation” (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:8-10). (b) The evidences of Salvation. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16).

  • Prayer Journal March 2019
Prayer Journal March 2019 March 2019 Dear Southside Family, Welcome to Practicing God’s Presence in Prayer! This Journal has been prayerfully prepared to assist you and your family on the journey. There are 5 daily lessons for each of the three weeks (I think that still equals 15!). You can do them individually, with your spouse or as a family. You’ll need your Bible, a pen (or favorite electronic device) and a heart to find out more about prayer. If these truths are discovered, understood and applied, our prayer lives can be transformed, our spiritual growth can be accelerated and our lives and relationships changed! God is speaking. He desires to be more than a part of our life – He is life itself. May we learn how we can regularly, intentionally remain in His presence throughout the day through an attitude of prayer. Each day, read the suggested Bible passages and answer the questions. Use the KidConnect Corner with your kids or grandkids. Space has been given for you to record your thoughts and impressions from the Lord each day. Customize the content and make this fit for you and your family. Each day’s lesson will take about 20 minutes. Our goal is to become stronger in our walk with God by developing healthy spiritual habits. Don’t be overwhelmed. Take the Practicing God’s Presence in Prayer experience one day at a time! If you miss a day or two, don’t panic! Make them up when you have the opportunity. It’s my hope and intent that our whole Southside family (children, youth and adults) will be discussing the topics in KidConnect, Home Groups, the Sunday morning messages and in our homes.

These emanations from God produce new sounds that invariably when captured by true worshippers become the songs we arrange to communicate the heart of our heavenly Father. In this respect we sing a new song unto the Lord. Eternal Sound is a vehicle that God has created in our day to communicate the sounds of the season. They are true worshippers who do not just simply sing the song of the Lord but who have become the song that they sing.

  • Thesis Title Goes Here
The Temple, the Spirit and the People of the Presence of God: Examining Critical Options for a Pentecostal Ecclesiology by Robert Brian Robson A thesis submitted to Wycliffe College and the Theology Department of the Toronto School of Theology in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Theology awarded by the University of St. Michael’s College © Copyright by Robert Brian Robson 2012 The Temple, the Spirit and the People of God’s Presence: Examining Critical Options for a Pentecostal Ecclesiology Robert Brian Robson Doctor of Philosophy in Theology University of St. Michael’s College 2012 Abstract Ecclesiology remains recognized as an underdeveloped area within the burgeoning field of Pentecostal theology, even as more voices are addressing it. This thesis explores the more significant proposals toward Pentecostal ecclesiology offered by various scholars, and then offers a constructive proposal: the church as the People of the manifest Presence of the Tri-une God. In this thesis, I propose to construct a distinct but ecumenically-friendly Pentecostal ecclesiology based upon the theological concept of the church as the People of God’s Presence. The church is constituted by the “manifest” presence of the Holy Spirit among people whom the Spirit gathers, empowers and sends out in mission to the world. This ecclesiology builds specifically upon the description of a “third-stream of Christian tradition” first offered by Bishop Lesslie Newbigin in 1952. It is this very concept of the “recognizable” presence of the Holy Spirit “with power” as the defining constitution of the church which should inform a uniquely Pentecostal ecclesiology.

Joshua (NPM) work in Kenya. The Free Pentecostal Church (FPC), known as the Free Pentecostal Affiliations: Fellowship in Kenya (FPFK) until April 2018, was born out of a 1984 merger between the Swedish 1Institute of Theology and Free Mission and the NPM. The Norwegians came earlier in 1955, whereas their Scandinavian Religion, University of South counterparts arrived in 1960. The article contests that during the period under review, the first 29 Africa, Pretoria, South Africa years of NPM’s presence in Kenya, the NPM was characterised by a fast-growing enthusiasm in establishing mission stations and local churches through evangelism and social work activities 2Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Pwani in education, medical care, orphanages, midwifery and compassionate handouts of commodities University, Kilifi, Kenya to villagers. • Seek. Trust. Follow
Seek. Trust. Follow. Devotional Guide For the Lenten Journey 2020 First Baptist Church, Athens, Georgia SEEK. TRUST. FOLLOW. Devotions for The Lenten Journey 2020 FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH ATHENS, GEORGIA INTRODUCTION Seek. Trust. Follow. The theme for our Lenten devotion, and for our church’s season of Lenten observance serves as invitation. The invitation is to enter the daily spiritual discipline, open yourself to the scriptures, avail yourself of worship opportunities, and engage in study and dialogue with others in the community of faith. As one might walk or hike a trail in search of a hoped-for discovery of beauty and grandeur of God’s creation, the daily journey of the Lenten discipline intends to bring us to a place of deeper spiritual discovery and awakening. No doubt surprises beyond expectations await. How can we know what to expect when walking a path never taken previously? To be honest, just as trail hiking includes danger and risk, the spiritual journey may also bring us into contact with unanswerable questions, confront us with challenging decisions, and not always be a gentle stroll. Therefore, be aware and alert. Have respect for the environment, and patience with the distance. Rest when weary. Pause in moments of grace and peace. Keep your eye on the path in front of you. Wise hikers use a guide of some kind. Drawing upon the knowledge of those who have traveled the path before, the use of maps, journals, or even a personal trail guide provides information that can be trusted. I suppose one could argue for more than one appropriate order of these three words: Seek, Trust, Follow.

Number of submitters who Decision Sought % selected this option Yes 46 7.68% No 553 92.32% Submitters for this question No 1 - Jynelle Sullivan: I work at an accommodation facility in Wellington's CBD. We get many people who travel through Wellington stating that parking here and costs are far too expensive and inconvenient as it is - they appreciate it being free parking on weekends and not having to worry about their vehicle receiving a ticket or being towed. I pay for parking in the city during the week for work, that is already a hassle when you limit parking times to 2 hours maximum. We also appreciate having free parking in the city during weekends, it adds to the enjoyment of being able to explore the very city we live in without having the worry. It seems like everyone is discouraged in owning a vehicle here that can be charged for no matter where you end up parking. I feel sorry for residents who have to pay just to have a car on the side of the road outside their home! Thanks for hearing my thoughts on your proposed weekend parking fees in the CBD. No 2 - Gina Rennie: I have a resident permit , and if you guys decide to start charging weekend fees, everyone that visits the city will start using all the coupon parking. This will mean us residents in Mount Victoria will lose our chance on getting parks .So it is a stupid idea to start charging.
