Every student is expected to be a tithe paying member of a local church during their attendance at Treign Bible College. Church membership is part of the training regimen of the Bible school and it is taken seriously. That membership does not have to be at Lake Church but must comply with a church persuasion that is not a cult or of any fringe group but of mainline Christian beliefs among reputable denominational and independent churches. 2. Every student shall not be the user of alcohol, pornography, tobacco or related products, or involved in any immoral conduct while attending Treign Bible College. It is the expectation of Treign Bible College that no Christian should be involved in any of these practices in their lives in any way as a lifestyle. Egregious violation of moral example can be a basis for dismissal from Treign Bible College. 3. Students are expected to be serious with their education and training at Treign Bible College and therefore will be expected to meet their financial obligation with respect to tuition and fees, attend classes regularly and be engaged in the process during attendance. Students have the privilege to work with others to achieve their academic goals as permitted by an instructor, and they also have the benefit of conferring with the Dean and/or Treign administrators in case of financial hardship during their tenure at Treign Bible College. 4. Each student is expected to follow a reasonable moral conduct of behavior with other students and with faculty, remain respectful, and submit to authority. Each student should also maintain an example of moral character. The student has every right to be treated fairly and with respect as well from faculty, staff, and administrators of Treign Bible College and of Lake Church. 5. Each learner must be ready to complete each course with determination and that includes completing all assessment and evaluation requirements such as exams and worksheets 7 in a timely manner and according to the guidelines stipulated by the instructor of that course and the overall policy of Treign Bible College. Therefore, lateness of submission should be avoided at all cost except for extraordinary circumstances when this is not possible and such occasions should be made aware to the instructor and/or to the administrators of Treign Bible College. 6. Students are expected to maintain a commitment to their study that does not involve cheating, plagiarism, or turning in work that is not of their own origin. Any collaborative educational process during a course must have been authorized by permission of the instructor. Other than that, each student must only turn in work that is of their own and not someone else. 7. Students can expect a certain level of understanding from faculty to allow them to pursue their education with consideration of other adult responsibilities that can be a challenge for non-traditional students. Therefore, Treign Bible College instructors and administrators will always work with students to make their educational experience at Treign Bible College both enjoyable and convenient. 8. Any complaints should be brought to the Dean directly. Complaints and protest not dealt with in an orderly & respectful manner will result in punishment as seen fit by the Dean. 9. Enrollment at Treign Bible College may be ended if there is a reasonable and determined opposition of that enrolment by a spouse or responsible family member who has authority over that student. 8 Third Year Courses Collaborative instruction from various ministers in the Treign network Separate application along with Pastoral recommendation letter required Each third year student will choose their major course of study for the year, and will also be required to take the following courses: Treign I and II, Family and Ministry, Spirit Lab I and II, and Preaching Lab I and II. Major courses of Study Missionology/Evangelism (Bob Haase) Teaching Ministry Pastoral Ministry Prophetic Ministry Apostolic Ministry Healing Ministry 9 TENETS OF FAITH. Lake Church (Parent Organization to Treign Bible College), accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed Will of God, the all-Sufficient rule of faith and practice for the purpose of maintaining general unity. Section 1. The Scripture Inspired The Bible is the inspired Word of God, revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason (II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12). Section 2. The One True Godhead The triune Godhead is comprised of 3 separate and distinct personalities: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed, and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Section 3. Man, His Fall and Redemption Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our Likeness.” But, man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his hope of redemption is in Christ, the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12- 21). Section 4. The Salvation of Man (a) Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (Psalm 103:3), being justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For by grace we are saved through faith. ”The Word is near you, in your mouth 10 and in your heart; that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation” (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:8-10). (b) The evidences of Salvation. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16).
