Plan to discontinue Grupa Azoty’s POM business On June 9th, the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. made a decision regarding planned discontinuation of its POM business. The decision was prompted by the conclusion that the POM business would not be economically viable in the foreseeable future. The planned discontinuation of POM production will reduce the Company’s total

CO2 emissions.

The decision to exit the POM business will have no impact on any other operations of the Segment. A thing to note is that consolidated revenue from external sales of POM products in 2020 amounted to PLN 54.1m, accounting for just 0.5% of the Grupa Azoty Group’s total revenue.

The plan is for the Company to exit the polyoxymethylene business not later than till August 31st 2021.
