Tributes to Martyrs Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev The Chairman paid tributes to the legendary heroes of our Freedom Movement, Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev, who attained martyrdom, eighty years ago. The House observed silence, all Members Standing, as a mark of respect in memory of the martyrs. 11-03 a.m. 2. Matters raised with permission ^(1) Shri Ram Vilas Paswan raised a matter regarding need to confer the Bharat Ratna on Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and setting up of a Memorial, etc. to commemorate him. 11-06 a.m. ^(2) Shrimati Jharna Das Baidya raised a matter regarding incident of death and injury of the Reang refugees in a devastating fire at Naishingpara in North Tripura District. 11-09 a.m. (3) Shri P. Rajeeve raised a matter regarding attack of NATO forces on Libya. 11-12 a.m. ^(4) Shri Ramdas Agarwal raised a matter regarding burning/self- immolation of persons belonging to Scheduled Tribes, minority and women. 11-16 a.m. (5) Ms. Mabel Rebello raised a matter regarding issue of burning of a Bastar village, brutal killing and assaulting of men and women. 11-21 a.m. ^(6) Shri S. S. Ahluwalia raised a matter regarding an incident in Milan asking a Sikh coach to remove his turban. _______________________________ ^ Spoke in Hindi. RAJYA SABHA 11-25 a.m. (7) Shri M.V. Mysura Reddy raised a matter regarding killing of an MBA Graduate from Hyderabad in London and rape and murder of a female student in New South Wales, Australia. Shri S.M. Krishna, Minister of External Affairs, responded. @11-34 a.m. (8) Shri R.C. Singh raised a matter regarding issue of illegal experience certificate by Railway Planning Division to companies, which have not executed any Railway Works. 11-37 a.m. 3. Rama Jois Demand to address the grievances of retired employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises in the country. 2. Shri Y. S. Chowdary Demand to fill up the vacancies in the Office of the Registrar of Companies, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. 3. Shri Shantaram Demand to celebrate the liberation day of Goa Laxman Naik from the Portuguese rule as the Swatantrata Purti Divas. 4. Shrimati Maya Singh Demand to ban the charging of transaction fee on the tickets for international flights by various airlines companies. 5. Shri Sanjay Raut Demand to take steps to expedite the early completion of Metro Rail Project in Mumbai. 6. Shri Kalraj Mishra Demand to take strict action to check the shrinking area of forests in the country due to deforestation. 8. Shri Ram Kripal Demand to implement the land reforms policy Yadav for the welfare of the poor living in forests. 11. The Labour Laws (Exemption from Furnishing Returns and Maintaining Registers by Certain Establishments) Amendment Bill, 2011 Shri Mallikarjun Kharge (Minister of Labour and Employment) moved for leave to introduced a Bill to amend the Labour Laws (Exemption from Furnishing Returns and Maintaining Registers by Certain Establishments) Act, 1988. Shri Mallikarjun Kharge introduced the Bill. 11-54 a.m. II. The Mines (Amendment) Bill, 2011 Shri Mallikarjun Kharge (Minister of Labour and Employment) moved for leave to introduce a Bill further to amend the Mines Act, 1952. Shri Mallikarjun Kharge introduced the Bill. 11-55 a.m. III. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Bill, 2011 Shrimati Krishna Tirath (Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Women and Child Development) moved for leave to introduce a Bill to protect children from offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography and provide for establishment of Special Courts for trial of such offences and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Shrimati Krishna Tirath introduced the Bill. RAJYA SABHA 11-56 a.m. 6. Government Bills — Passed (1) The Repatriation of Prisoners (Amendment) Bill, 2011, as passed by Lok Sabha. Shri P.
