Scoala Gimnaziala Stefan cel Mare, The school is equipped with computers, has Dorohoi, Romania internet access and carries out various school and extra-school activities, projects and partnerships with local institutions.

The region of our school is peripheral, represented mainly by socially and economically disadvantaged families: unemployed, socially-assisted and minorities. The students are at risk of social exclusion as they cannot benefit from a proper education in their families or lack interest in school; some of them have the tendency to miss classes and eventually leave school.

In order to meet the students' needs and to promote a better access to education we intend to involve our school in national and European projects, to develop our students’ social and communication abilities and

encourage learning of foreign languages for a better social integration.

Scoala Gimnaziala“Stefan cel Mare” Dorohoi is a public school situated in Dorohoi city, in the North-East of Romania. It consists of both 14 Eylül Ortaokulu,Karacabey, Turkey primary and lower secondary mixed classes.

I was interested in learning about cultures from other countries. Getting in contact with pupils from different backgrounds and exchange experiences. Also exploring a different country in a mixed group, meaning with friends and locals was an interesting aspect for me to join the project.

Alina Schmitz nationality: German age: 15 countries visited during the project: Sweden, Hungary

I was astonished to what extent traditions are deeply woven into the cultures of the other countries. Ancient dances, singing, stories and much more play a major role in the countries today. You felt a bit strange sometimes when, for example, the

Romanians danced in their wonderful costumes. Julija Katić Nationality: German Age: 15 Countries visited during the project: Romania, Sweden

The Erasmus+ Project is a fantastic project for students to discover with pleasure other countries and their culture. With this project you can make many new friends and get to know different cultures, especially if you live in a host family. Ansgar Schwedtmann

countries visited during the project: Spain, Sweden

The most difficult part in the project was the communication. As a group of students with different nationalities we did not speak the same language. Therefore, we had to speak English. Since it was the first time for some students to go abroad without their parents and without knowing the language it was very hard for them to talk to people in English. Besides the levels of English were very different, which made it even harder for them. However, we managed the challenge which enhanced our personal growth. We used gestures and facial expressions to understand each other and it worked very well. Moreover, this challenge is a part of the project, because we learnt to overcome cultural and linguistic barriers.

Kathrin Wicinski nationality: German age: 15 countries visited during the project: Spain, Hungary

Erasmus is a project, which helps us to hold the world together. I am very happy that I was part of the Erasmus project!

Leandra Seidel nationality: German age: 14 countries visited during the project: Romania and Hungary

In conclusion, it is a really great idea and during the project we all learned to overcome cultural boundaries and became more confident while getting to know new people and finding international friends all over Europe.

Anna-Isabell Stiegler nationality: German age: 15 countries visited during the project: Spain, Hungary

We enjoyed the longterm project "Erasmus+" with the task "Sagas from the past to the future". Six countries (Spain, Hungary, Romania, Sweden, Turkey and Germany) worked together in English and made different presentations, websites, films and posters to present them and exchange . them with another country at each trip. Finja Tönnies nationality: German age: 15 countries visited during the project: Sweden

At the begin it was very difficuilt to speak English because we thought all in German, but after a few days I thought in English . It was a wonderful time, thank you so much!

Laura Breuer nationality: German age: 15 countries visited during the project: Spain

It was very interesting to see the traditions, especially the traditional dances. Besides I was amazed how well you can work together, e.g.

the dancing workshop, even if you don’t speak the same language. The Erasmus + project was an amazing experience with a lot of fun while visiting cities, celebrating and working together on sagas. I’m thankful for all the people I got to know through the project and all the things I’ve learned.

Lisa Hübner nationality: German age: 15

Two years ago I joined the Erasmus+ project because I wanted to learn something interesting and new about other countries. I also thought it would be fun to meet new people, work together and exchange our thoughts. I really liked the project and it is exactly what I wanted. I am very happy that I joined the Erasmus+ group. For me this project will end with a bunch of great memories and acquaintances. Natalie Isabel Heinrichs Nationality: German Age: 15 Countries visited during the project: Sweden

It seemed like fun to me and I’ve always liked getting to know other cultures and new people so this was the perfect project to join! The most interesting aspect I learned is that it’s not about where you’re from you can still be best friends without having the same cultural backgrounds! Shirin Patrice Wallich nationality: German age: 15 host to student(s) from: Sweden

I am one of the lucky guys who coul travel to Spain (only 6 people could travel to each one country) and I met my former partner “Javi” again. It was a really nice time…

Tom Horstkemper nationality: German age: 14 countries visited during the project: Spain, Romania

Erasmus is a project that opens you a new view to other people! With Erasmus you can make new friends and I made many! With Erasmus you can see other pieces of the world! With Erasmus you can have fun! With Erasmus you are a part of something big! I' m very proud to be part of this project! Thank you for the Erasmus+ project!!! Yola Baumbach nationality: German age: 14 countries visited during the project: Romania, Hungary

It seemed intresting to get the chance to go to another country so i decided to join… It seemed dancing is a tradition in most countrys more than in Sweden, sure we have our dances too but not in the way that the other countries

seemed to have.

Gustav Robertsson Nationality: Swedish Age:15 Countries visited during the project: Spain

I joined the project because i wanted to meet new nice people, see different cultures and experience diffrent contries and nature. The most interesting aspect i've learned is how diffrent we are but we also have a lot in common.

Karin Persson Nationality: Swedish Age:15 Countries visited during the project: Romania and Hungary

I realized that were living in very different cultures and that the school down in spain is very differnt compared to the school in sweden.

Herman Gradin Nationality: Swedish Age:16 Countries visited during the project: Spain

I´ve learned to apperciate my country more and i´ve noticed that other countries aren´t so different from Sweden. i´ve also realized that it isn´t so scary to fly.

Emma Åkesson

Nationality: Swedish Age:16 Countries visited during the project: Germany and Romania

I see that there is not that big difference in our countries I thought.

Elov Jäderberg Nationality: Sweden Age: 16 Countries visited during the project: Germany and Hungary

I came to Sweden with the Erasmus + group. I enjoyed it, for the first time in my life I was flying. There are plenty of programs waiting for us. We were in a zoo, skiing and much more. We were in the school for three days, crafted, furled, danced, filmed about us. One day we went to sledge on a very high hill. We've slipped through. It was so snowy that by the time we got back, we got wet water. Lukács Veronika Nationality: Hungary Age: 11 Countries visited during the project:Sweden

On Monday morning we went to the theater where the countries presented their presentations. Later in the mayor's office they were waiting for us. We watched the exhibition there and the Mayor greeted us. After lunch, we had a free time, then went to school where we were allocated to the workshops. After the workshop was a party ....

Juhász Adrián Nationality: Hungary Age: 13 Countries visited during the project:Romania

The road was long, but we saw nice things and landscapes. When we arrived, we met the Turkish children. I was friends with Spanish, German and Romanian girls.

Bóka Vanda Lara Nationality: Hungary Age: 11 Countries visited during the project:Romania

We came from friends from other countries with some of our language skills, but we understood each other. We were in the Dracula Castle, where the great Dracula personally scared us. We also went to a farm where many small animals lived. We have also been able to ride a circle. We visited the Bekas Strait, which was a very nice sight. Then came the Killer Lake, which was caused by a sloping debris from a nearby mountain and the remains of the pine forest still stand out. A legend is attached to the place.

Nagy Bianka Blanka

Nationality: Hungary Age: 12 Countries visited during the project:Romania

Everyone was inspired by the night, the farewell party that was very successful. What we did with our folk dance was great success and we also presented our dancing lessons on teamwork and the others what they did all week. We can be very grateful to the organizers that we have been in such beautiful experiences. Unforgettable... Szabó Laura Nationality: Hungary Age: 15 Countries visited during the project:Germany

To me, this trip was a great experience because I could learn about a distant country, its culture and gastronomy. But the most important thing is that I've got great friends I keep in touch with today.

Juhász Attila Nationality: Hungary Age: 15 Countries visited during the project: Spain

I was so excited because in my life so far I was only a short walk. But as we rose above the clouds, all my excitement passed. It was so beautiful over the clouds that it was indescribable. We flew among the clouds of cotton candy and whipped cream .... It was good to be in them, in English we could easily understand each other. Very, but very absent! I hope we will meet again! Have a look at Spain, Seville and Coria del Rio!

Kovács Dorina Nationality: Hungary Age: 12 Countries visited during the project: Spain

After the big farewells, we left Seville with a full experience. It was a great experience, I'm glad I could take part in it.

Baranyai Rebeka Nationality: Hungary Age: 13 Countries visited during the project: Spain

Thanks to the Erasmus + program, I could spend an unforgettable week in Spain. We traveled from various countries of Europe to Coria del Rio, so we could get to know a little bit of each other's culture and customs. Our project assignment was the processing of the legend. We worked in workshops. The children who chose drama showed Herkul, and the performance was very good.

Janzsó Dávid

Nationality: Hungary Age: 15 Countries visited during the project: Spain

I have learned that you can communicate in many ways with people who do not speak the same language as you and that each country has its beautiful parts and many things that make the country richer not only through material things

Apalaghiei Rares nationality: Romanian age: 15 countries visited during the project: Germany

I learned about the Swedish traditions of bathing outside and going to the sauna. Sweden is a beautiful and civilized country . People are quiet and protective of their environment. Rusu Daniela nationality:Romania age: 14 countries visited during the project: Sweden, Hungary

I was very pleased with the families I lived in Hungary and Germany. They were so nice, good, understanding. I liked their way of taking care of someone, how to love. I was very pleased with everything. The landscapes were magnificent, colorful and brilliant, fascinating. I'm sorry thst this project is over, but I'm more than happy that I was in this project and I got to know all these wonderful people Cical Georgiana nationality:Romania age: 14 countries visited during the project:Germany, Hungary

I don’t think there is „the most interesting aspect“. I lerned from each of them various things, and I made friends. However there’s something that I liked very much, the Spanish and Turkish dances, because they are rhythmic and full of life. Hungary is a beautiful country, with good people, and Budapest is a beautiful capital city .

Ghivireaga Theodora nationality: Romanian age: 14 countries visited during the project: Sweden, Hungary

Every country has its own customs and traditions which are unique and should be respected and known by other countries. In my opinion, this project is aimed at preventing school dropout and encouraging us not to fail but also to visit other participating countries, to learn other educational systems. It was an educational, enjoyable, fun and educational project. I hope I will have such an experience again.

Tudor Ghivireaga nationality: Romanian age: 12 countries visited during the project: Sweden, Hungary

Foreign students learn to do their best in life. They Learn to dance, play in a theater and do various crafts. I learned about Spain with its beautiful tradition which is Latin, I learned the traditional dance flamenco . Gabriela Axinte nationality: Romanian age: 15 countries visited during the project: Spain

This experience helped me a lot and I think my colleagues too. We had a pleasant, unique, beautiful and helpful experience in English and in our courage to use it. I believe and I hope that I will not just be lucky enough to have such an experience and I would be happy if other children like had such an opportunity.

Georgiana Lucasi nationality: Romanian age: 15 countries visited during the project: Germany

The most interesting is that I learned how to behave and communicate with foreign pupils and found out that we are all the same. Personally I had a beautiful experience because it was my first time when I went into a foreign country without my parents . I was impressed when I saw a foreign country and met new people, I stayed in a host family. I really wish to repeat this beautiful experience once more . Șurubariu Mădălina nationality: Romanian age: 13 countries visited during the project: Hungary

The most interesting aspect I have learned about foreign students is that they learn at school practical things which help them further in life. They learn how to behave with other people no matter where they come from and to appreciate beauty in everything! Mihaela Axinte nationality: Romanian age: 15 countries visited during the project: Spain

The most interesting aspect about the students was that we made friends easily even though we spoke different language or came from different countries. I liked that when we collaborated no one made the difference between us . It was a beautiful experience! Going to foreign countries through this project was a useful experience and beautiful memories I gained. Nicoleta Palamariu nationality: Romanian age: 12 countries visited during the project: Sweden, Hungary

I have learned that Germany has a rich history, being a major actor in the history of Europe. That is why German culture is rich in customs, significant traditions, or popular myths. I'm proud to have gone to those lands! Erasmus+ offers opportunities for learners to learn professionally or to gain experience that also enables them to develop new skills and competences in a foreign language. Octavian Olariu nationality: Romanian age: 15 countries visited during the project: Germany

It was an amazing experience for us. Because we haven’t been abroad before. We saw different countries and we learnt a lot of things about different cultures. And we met friends from different countries.

In this project we could practice our English. Our subject was sagas. We learnt a lot of sagas from other cultures. And in meetings we joined workshops. We studied about sagas. They were enjoyable and instructive. We can also spend time with our European friends.

Also We could visit important and historical places in every country. It was so nice because we could have information about other cultures. It was so important because children can learn better while visiting and living.

We think it is a perfect experience and project. And we wish every student could join in an Erasmus+ Project.

His 11th labour was to bring the legendary golden apples of the Hesperides back to King Eury. There was a rumor that the apples were hidden in the garden of the Hesperides and that they gave immortal life to anyone who ate them, but hardly anyone believed the rumor. In fact, no mortal knew if the legendary golden apples really existed. The Hesperides were magical creatures who lived a long way away. It took Hercules several months to reach the land of the Hesperides. When he finally reached the garden, he had to slay a dragon which was guarding the garden gate, before he could search for the apples. The apples were in plain sight, hanging on the apple tree in the center of the garden so Hercules took them quickly. Hercules was tempted to take a bite and give himself immortal life. But he had heard another rumor: the apples did not give immortal life, but rather, took immortal life away. So Hercules did not eat them! Several months later, when he reached home, he gave the apples to King Eury. Eury quickly gave the apples to his wife. His wife returned the apples to the Hesperides with her apologies.
