The Collection plan was drawn by Philip Jesse Oke at Plymouth in January 1938. The date of build and origins of the boat as given on the plan are suspect. A plan showing the longitudinal Merchant drawing (1787) September half-breadth, plan virew, detail of decorated seat, Collection 1937 body, half-section and inboard profile with water lines of a 27 ft 2 in barge from Mount’s Bay. The plan was drawn by Philip Jesse Oke at Plymouth in September 1937. The drawings are accompanied by a lengthy note on the craft’s origin and history, repeated here as follows: ‘owned by Lord St Levan, reputed to have been built 150 years ago from elm, cut on the Clarence Estate. This barge was used by Her Majesty, Queen Victoria on the occasion of her visit, September 6th 1846, and later by His Majesty, King Edward VIII. On the reverse are Collection further drawings relating to the structure of the vessel amidships and at the transom stern. There are two different registration numbers given for this vessel on the plan. The sail arrangement side gives PH63, while the reverse states it is RT46. The brief entry for this vessel on page 142 of the Chatham Directory of Inshore Craft suggests the former is the correct registration number.
