Broadcast messages Jed Stone, Frillby United: «To the Sports Editor Eric Philpotts LONGDALE COURIER – Skelsthorpe Dear Sir, I am a goalkeeper NOT an Octopus!! Since all this nonsense about aliens playing in football teams started, I have sat aghast at the stupidity of these people. There is no evidence anywhere that aliens even exist so why in the world should they suddenly be found on a football pitch? What evidence is there that the game even exists on another planet? Did the astronauts found goal posts on the Moon and neglect to tell anyone? Let us have some reality please! Prove that aliens exist then see if they can play football. As to having an octopus play in goal, - really!! I am a trained, professional goalkeeper and thanks to the idiots pushing the 'octopus' theory into the world I cannot go out without being spotted and offered a fish!! (Do octopuses even eat fish?) As to the total planks that clap and make 'honking' noises when they see me and ask me if I want a fish! That's a seal you idiots!! Octopuses have tentacles not flippers! Football is a splendid game and it does not need baseless theories and stupid ideas smeared across it to entertain the lunatic fringe. I have played football all my adult life and have never, ever found any sort of evidence of aliens in a club's changing room. In my opinion aliens do not exist and if they did the obvious place to find them is in the stands watching the game not on the pitch playing it. Think of that the next time you're at a match. That bloke next to you could well be a 'blue spotted, four armed Franacktion' from an obscure planet on the left arm of the Galaxy. It just looks like your mate Phil! Colin Barker (Professional, human goalkeeper).» 3. Apprentices discovered None. 4. Song of Ice and Fire - Castaway 2 : 0 Scorers: Grey Worm (14.), Grenn (11.) ***--- Song of Ice and Fire quickly took command of the match with two early goals, and after that, their lead was never really threatened. This probably was the win that renewed their Championship contract, only rather far-fetched theory keep the seat in play. WrapUp - Magical World 0 : 0 Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: No tackling ***--- WrapUp had a clear upper hand in play here, but failed to score.
