This is achieved through a critical analysis of empirical interviews, analytical review of NGO statements, rapporteur reports on judicial response to conflict-related rape and abuses. As a critique of the Nigerian judicial responses, the research assesses and identifies discrepancies and practices with the aim of ideally resolving these through proposed policy and reforms. The originality of this research rests upon analysis of the empirical interviews of professionals and accounts given by victims to NGOs. This is cross-referenced with evaluation of past historical positions on conflict-related rape. In addition, this study examines Nigerian criminal legal system in comparison with International Law of Armed Conflict. The research reveals several discrepancies between theoretical and practical law in these areas, such as the partial or entire failure to implement the criminal legal framework for the protection of women during internal armed conflicts in Nigeria. This study argues that these discrepancies emanate from challenges, including the lack of a comprehensive definition of rape, conditions set (as in the Penal Code for prosecution of rape crimes), and strict implementation of the legislation. Cultural and religious practices are also identified as impediments to victims’ willingness to report crimes of rape, coupled with institutional ineffectiveness of the Nigerian security systems. Among them there was a movement of Deoband, which was actually an educational movement for survival of Muslim. The renounced scholars of Deoband school of thought presented the literature for the strong ideological training of muslims, so that they could have implemented the islamic instrcuctions in their lives. In this connection the contribution of Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi were remarkable who devoted his life for preaching the ideology of Islam. He compiled a huge number of books for the betterment in social and moral life of Muslims. He presented the urdu translation and commentary (Tafseer) of the Holy Qura'an which is a unique commentary. In this article the introduction of Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi and the characteristics of his Tafseer Maarif ul Quran are presented. With the rise of the Jamaat-tud-Da’wa wal Irshad and Laskar-e-Taiba under the leadership of the Ahl-e-Hadith scholar-activist Hafiz Ahmad Sa’id of Pakistan, with their reported links with the Salafi and Wahhabi groups in Saudi Arabia, and their involvement in terrorist activities in Kashmir and India, Ahl-e-Hadith suddenly came into the limelight of scholars, journalists, and policy makers in South Asia and in the West. Ahl-e-Hadith in Bangladesh, however, still remained unheard of until a mystery man, popularly known as “Bangla Bhai” (Bengali brother), a hitherto unknown Ahl-e-Hadith activist, hit the title page of The New York Times Magazine in 2005. Even then, many observers, including the Bangladeshi government officials described these reports of underground militancy as “unfounded.” Soon, however, Bangladeshi newspapers were full of stories about the murderous activities of Bangla Bhai and his clandestine group Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh (JMJB – Awake!     eISSN 2550-2042 MALAYSIAN JOURNAL FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES VOL 3, BIL 2 2019 THE ROLE OF THE TREATY OF HUDAYBIAH IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS Abdullah Al Mamuni Abstract International Relations (IR) is an essential phenomenon in inter-country affairs nowadays, but it has achieved its own place as a study based on the interrelation among the communities and countries from the various periods of civilization and social contacts. Apart from this, it is known to all of us that the Great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last and final messenger from Allah the Most Exalted towards all the humankind, and his lifestyle is the best model for all the ages and eras. There is no span of human life from personal to international, where there is no customs, model and unique indications from his speeches, acts, approval as well as his character, similarly in the span of international relations too. It began with the Treaty of Hudaybiah, in the sixth year after Hijrat, what played a vital role in Islamic Theo-political affairs. On the other hand, Islam threw an ideal process of international affairs and presented it in a very efficient way through this Treaty. Keeping these before us, we would like to evaluate the playing role of the Treaty of Hudaybiah in international relations as they would be come to the light.
