250 years of St George’s German Lutheran Church & the East End’s German Community An exhibition to mark the 250th anniversary of the opening of St. George’s German Lutheran Church in Alie Street, Whitechapel, the oldest still standing German church building in the UK. Play Past & Present Tuesday 23 July, 1–5pm The Hub, Victoria Park, E3 5TB Family fun for all ages at the Hub, the new community and arts venue in Victoria Park. Presented by Play Association Tower Hamlets, the event will focus on children’s experiences of play past and present, particularly in Vicky Park which has been a fun-filled destination for local people since it first opened to the public in 1845.
