Great Oaks Church of Christ Proudly honors the class of 2020

Emma Lynn Barker, daughter of Mickey and Michele Barker and sister of Ryan, has been homeschooled since third grade and will be grad- uating from HomeLife Academy. Emma loves music, having played flute for six years, piano for twelve years and performing in The Shepherd’s Horn Honors Choir. She has been active in Lads to Leaders since first grade, loves spending time with the Great Oaks youth group, enjoys working at Stockdales in Oakland and teaching private piano lessons. Emma will attend Freed- Hardeman this fall on the Merit Schol- arship, FHU Artist Award Scholarship, Lads to Leaders Scholarship, Hope Scholarship, General Assembly Merit Scholarship and the PGA of Emma Barker America Scholarship pursuing degrees in Music/ HomeLife Academy Piano Performance and Elementary Educa- tion with plans to teach music.

Leah Allison Daniel is the daughter of Brian and Donna Daniel and the older sister of Mallory. Her grandparents are James and Wanda Davis. During high school she was on the Principal’s List and served as a member of HOSA (Health Occupa- tions Students of America). She is currently em- ployed part-time at We Love Kids Learning Cen- ter.

Tylin Dismuke is the son of Anthony and Kim Dismuke and younger brother of Toni & Tikayla Dismuke. He is a 2020 Graduate of Arlington Leah Daniel High School. He participated on the track team, Bartlett High School running the 100, 200 and 400 meters dash. Tylin also took a welding course in school, that will be instrumental in his pursuing a career in the weld- ing trade. He will be enrolling in a Boilermaker’s welding boot camp this Summer in Muscle Shoals, AL in which he’ll receive a welding certifi- cation and go on to pursue work.

Jase Andrew Hughes Gallaher ("Drew") is a graduate of Arlington High School. While in high school, Drew played football and ran track. His real love, however, was lacrosse. He was Arling- ton's goalkeeper, and during his senior year, he was captain. Drew won leadership recognition at the two military camps he attended, and he also

earned lifeguard certification through the YMCA. At Great Oaks, he has been an active member of the youth group and a Lads to Leaders partic- ipant. Currently, Drew works with a local pool service company. He is also in the hiring pro- cess with the Memphis Police Department, where he will begin as a PST (police service technician) and simultaneously complete a de- gree in Criminal Justice. At age 21, he will be eligible to complete the Police Academy and earn his badge and service weapon.

Clare Hayes Milam is the son of Gary and An- gela Milam, sister to Carter, Chase, Curtis and Cady and granddaughter to Len and Kathy Hub- bard. She is graduating this year from Bartlett High School and plans to attend Southwest Tennessee Community on the Promise Scholarship studying Biology with plans after that to study to be a Nurse Practitioner or a doc- tor. Over the years, Clare has been involved in the youth group here at church, Lads-to- Leaders, mission trips, youth devotionals and Great Oaks Camp and this will be her fifth year to participate in Horizons at Freed-Hardeman University. Clare Milam Bartlett High School Connor Priester is the son of Rod and Paula Priester and younger brother of Caitlin. He is graduating this year from Arlington High School on May 21. Connor has maintained excellent grades throughout his time at AHS. He has been involved in Marching Band (Percussion), Concert Band, Spanish National Honor Society, and Beta Club. Connor loves guitar, music, pho- tography, and spending time with friends. He wants to pursue a path in a health-related field. He would like to be a Pharmacist and attend college at University of Memphis or Freed- Hardeman University this Fall. Connor and his family have loved being a part of Great Oaks Church of Christ. They hope to visit often and will miss each of you very much. Connor Priester Arlington High School Colby Richardson will be graduating from Cordova High School. He is the son of Matt Richardson and Molly Fox Richardson and the younger brother of Cameron. In high school Colby was a member of ROTC. In ROTC he held the ranks of first class, corporal, captain junior and his senior year he held the rank of colonel and was battalion commander. While in ROTC he was a member of the armed drill team

as well as a member of the knowledge bowl team. In addition to ROTC he was member of DECA. At Great Oaks he has participated in Lads-to-Leaders over the past few years. He was involved in bible bowl, speech, debate and puppets. In addition to being active in the youth group at Great Oaks, he has also maintained a part time job working at Jersey Mike Subs and Kroger. Ryan Kendall Barker, son of Mickey and Ryan Kendall Barker, son of Mickey and Michele, will graduate Summa Cum Laude this semester from Freed-Hardeman University with a degree in Law and Politics. While a student at Freed, Ryan worked as a student assistant in his dorm for 3 years. Last summer, he served as an Urban Fel- low in the mayor’s office of the City of Memphis. For the past semester, he has interned as a House Clerk for the Tennessee General Assembly in the Legislative Internship Program. Isaac Barrantes graduated from the University of Memphis with a BFA in Architecture + Interior Ar- chitecture. He plans to find a firm here in Memphis to work in and begin the process of obtaining his licensure.

Seth Nicholas Key Farmer will be graduating from Freed-Hardeman University with a Bachelor Isaac Barrantes of Science in Psychology, and a Bible minor on University of Memphis May 16th 2020. He plans to continue his educa- tion at FHU earning his Master of Arts in Counsel- ing. He is the full-time youth minister at Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City, TN.

Danielle (Head) Ferguson completed her practi- cum at Catholic Charities in the fall of 2019 and graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a BS degree in Social Work in December. She is married to Jharett and is now living in Illi- nois. Danielle plans to work with children.

Hayley Ford will graduate from Harding University with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biolo- gy and Medical Missions. She received the Bio- chemistry and Molecular Biology Outstanding Stu- dent Award at the end of her time at Harding. She will be marrying Jon Ward in June, and she will begin medical school at University of Tennessee in Danielle Ferguson Freed-Hardeman University Memphis this August.

Matthew Grinder received his Master’s Degree Hayley Ford L in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Freed- Harding University Hardeman University on December 13th, 2019. He completed his practicum and Internship in the Counseling Department at FHU. He has taken and passed the NCE Licensing exam. Matt is currently serving as the Youth and Family Minis- ter at Crosswinds church of Christ, just north of Jackson, Tn. He and his wife, Lauren, live happily at 51 Weeping Willow Way, Humboldt, Tn 38343.

Kelsey Martin, daughter of Scott and Susie Mar- tin, graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Harding University Col- lege of Pharmacy in Searcy, . She will be starting her pharmacy PGY1 residency at Regional Matthew Grinder L One Health in Memphis this June. Freed-Hardeman University Kelsey Martin Harding University School of Pharmacy Don Alan Riggs graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in December of 2019 with a B.S in Bible with an emphasis in youth and family. He and his beautiful wife Hannah will be moving to Troy, New York in the late summer/early fall where he has accepted a position as an outreach minister.

Candice Welch is the daughter of Peter and Yvonne Welch. She graduated from the University of Memphis in December of 2019 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. Candice was a member of S.A.M.A. (Student American Marketing Association). She Don Alan Riggs also interned with an American company, Cintas.
