International Panel Statement – 23rd June 2016

Following the completion of the first three ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup races in 2016, the following athletes are selected to represent Great Britain at the remaining two World Cups in the 2016 season. This is in line with the 2016 senior team released race policy published on 21st Dec 2014.

Congratulations to those in bold who have retained their places on the basis of a World Cup or European Champs final or top 10 overall World Cup ranking so far. On behalf of British Canoeing, the International Panel wish to congratulate and recognise those athletes achieving finals and medals in the first part of the season.

*Selection to World Cups 4 & 5 is subject to the proviso that if a different athlete who is lower down the reserve list wins a medal at the U23 Worlds and/or the U23 Europeans then in line with the published policy they would step aside for both races. This is clearly laid out in the 2016 policy.

Note that in C1W, Great Britain has qualified 4 boats in each World Cup
